The drug "Nobivak", specially designed for dogs and cats, is the first vaccine worldwide, which has official confirmation of the ability to provide immunity against major viral infections for at least three years. This medicine is produced by the Intervet company, which currently supplies the Russian market with a series of special products that can effectively protect animals. For example, on sale you can find the Nobivak vaccine for dogs against parvovirus type enteritis , infectious hepatitis or carnivorous plague. In addition, in veterinary pharmacies and clinics you can buy a special series of drugs for other pets. For example, there is a “Nobivak” remedy for cats against calicivirus infection, viral rhinotracheitis and panleukopenia.
Features of the composition of the drug
All Intervet preparations aimed at creating stable immunity include truly unique, attenuated live strains. In some vaccines, bacteria cultures against parvovirus enteritis and parainfluenza are present, in others against leptospirosis, rabies, or adenovirus infections. Moreover, all components (active and auxiliary) used in the Nobivak preparations for dogs and cats have proved their reliability and high efficiency. They activate precisely those biological processes in the animal’s body that ensure the achievement of maximum immunological results in an optimally short time, as well as long-term protection against the most common infectious diseases.
Vaccination schedule
As for the peculiarities of vaccination and the use of such a product as, for example, the Nobivak vaccine for dogs, they begin to
vaccinate puppies when they reach four to six weeks of age. Subsequent procedures are carried out on average every fourteen to twenty-one days. That is, if the first vaccine was delivered at the age of six weeks, then the second is carried out at the eighth to ninth weeks, and the last is put at the twelfth. Cats begin to be vaccinated two to three months after birth. The repeated procedure is performed exactly three weeks after the first, and revaccination is carried out strictly once a year. In the event that earlier protection against any infections is required, the first vaccination is usually given at one and a half months.
The list of main contraindications
The manufacturer categorically prohibits the use of the Nobivak vaccine for dogs and cats in case of detection of hyperthermia in the animal, any acquired immune deficiency and chronic acute or subacute diseases. In addition, it is not recommended to be vaccinated earlier than three weeks after the injection of hyperimmune serum. In the event of any parasitic diseases (including worms), the animal should not be vaccinated.
