These are syrup and suppositories, elixirs and drops, tablets (simple, chewable and effervescent), as well as solutions for injection and for internal use.

Paracetamol, the formula of which contains the chemical compound N- (4-Hydroxyphenyl) acetamide, is a metabolite of phenacetin and has similar properties. The main advantages of the drug include its low toxicity and lower ability to form methemoglobin. With prolonged use in large doses, the drug can cause adverse reactions, but the drug β€œParacetamol”, which is safe, is included in the list of the most effective analgesics recommended for children. According to its physical characteristics, it is a crystalline powder with a white color with a pink or cream tint. Paracetamol is readily soluble in alcohol.

In the process of pharmacological action on the body, the drug blocks the cyclooxygenase enzyme, activating the synthesis of prostaglandins. The drug "Paracetamol", the composition of which allows you to affect the center of pain and temperature regulation, has an effect on the central nervous system. The drug is absorbed by the digestive system for a short period and binds to plasma proteins in the amount of fifteen percent. Chemical changes in the active substance are made in the liver. In this case, glucuronide and paracetamol sulfate are formed. From the body, the elements of the drug are excreted through the kidneys. When a medicine is taken by a nursing woman, less than one percent of the dose of the drug passes into breast milk.

The drug "Paracetamol" is prescribed, the composition of which allows you to get rid of febrile and pain syndrome, for the treatment of diseases of an infectious nature. - intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid;

- kidney diseases of a progressive nature;

- active liver diseases;

- bleeding in the digestive tract;

- rehabilitation after coronary artery bypass grafting;

- hyperkalemia.

It is forbidden to take the drug in the third trimester of pregnancy, and it is also not given to newborns up to a month old.

With extreme caution, the use of the drug is possible with the following ailments:

- viral hepatitis;

- alcoholism;

- renal, hepatic and heart failure;

- diabetes mellitus;

- somatic diseases of severe form;

- diseases of the peripheral arteries;

- nicotine addiction;

- ischemia of the heart.
