He is known to viewers of various generations: in Soviet times, Kozakov became famous thanks to his role in the film "Amphibian Man", nowadays he starred in a series of comedy films "Love-carrot". Kozakov is a native Petersburger. It is not surprising that he made an excellent screenwriter and director, because Mikhail's father was a professional writer, and his mother was an editor. The mother of the future artist was repeatedly arrested because she did not want to apply harsh ideological editing to the books and literary materials entrusted to her.
Parents never scolded Michael. They brought up their education through long conversations and discussion of various topics. They also introduced their son to reading fiction.
Mikhail Kozakov after graduation entered the choreographic school. When the young man realized that he was actually attracted to the acting profession and directing, he went to get a second higher education at the Moscow Art Theater School.

The prominent young man, endowed with undeniable talent, could not help but notice the directors. Mikhail Kozakov first came to the set while still a student: in 1956 he made his debut in the film âMurder on Dante Streetâ, where Valentin Gaft and Innokenty Smoktunovsky played his first roles. Kozakov was lucky, and he immediately got the main role. The director of the picture was Mikhail Romm, also known for his work âAdmiral Ushakovâ and âLesson in Historyâ.
After such a successful debut, Kozakov began to appear in films regularly: âFar from the Motherlandâ, âEugene Grandeâ, âBaltic Skyâ, âAmphibian Manâ. And he always got prominent roles. Kozakovâs name never âhung outâ among the actors-episodes.
In addition, Mikhail Mikhailovich successfully developed a career in the theater: for a long time he served in Sovremennik and in the Malaya Bronnaya Theater. The young man worked in the theater field not only as an actor, but also as a director.
Kozakov is also the director of 21 television films, among which the well-known Pokrovsky Gates and Nameless Star. Often, the director himself wrote the scripts for his paintings.
The Straw Hat
Mikhail Kozakov, whose filmography is replete with paintings that became classics of Soviet cinema, in 1974 starred in the musical comedy The Straw Hat with such movie stars as Andrei Mironov (12 Chairs), Vladislav Strzhelchik (The Ruin of the Empire) and Lyudmila Gurchenko ("Carnival Night"). Kozakov himself got the comedic role of a certain Viscount de Rosalba, who had a strange habit of composing pastoral romances about the life of young boys.
Zinovy ââGerdt (The Golden Calf), Efim Kopelyan (The Elusive Avengers), Ekaterina Vasilyeva (The Ordinary Miracle) and Alice Freindlich (Office Romance) also starred in the fun vaudeville about the life of lovelace Leonidas Fadinar.
The director of the picture was Leonid Kvinikhidze, who directed the films âSky Swallowsâ and âMary Poppins, bye!â.
"Hello I'm your aunt!"
Mikhail Kozakov often starred in comedies, despite the fact that he had the undoubted gift of a dramatic actor. One of his most memorable works can be called the image of Colonel Francis Chesney in the comedy film "Hello, I am your aunt!".

Officers from the commission for the fight against counterrevolutionaries learn that some terrorists, led by Boris Savinkov, are operating in the Soviet Union and beyond. They come up with a cunning operation, the result of which was to be the complete defeat of the counterrevolutionaries.
Together with Mikhail Kozakov, the film starred Yevgeny Lebedev (âTwo Captainsâ), Lithuanian actor Antanas Barchas, Hariy Liepins (âThe Long Road in the Dunesâ), Andrei Martynov (âThe Captain's Daughterâ) and Boris Sokolov (âStar of Captivating Happinessâ) .
âState borderâ
Kozakov Mikhail Mikhailovich in the role of Felix Dzerzhinsky again appeared in the same 80th, but in another popular series - âThe State Borderâ.
This film received the KGB Prize of the USSR, as it again addressed the defenders of state peace, this time to the life of Soviet border guards. A total of eight films were shot. Mikhail Kozakov appeared only in the second, which was called "Peaceful summer of the 21st year."
According to a dynamically developing plot, the border Soviet city was captured by supporters of the White Guard with the support of Polish intelligence. The security officers are faced with the task of driving the enemy out of the village. This operation is personally led by Comrade Dzerzhinsky performed by Mikhail Kozakov.
The actor looked so convincing in the image of the founder and head of the Cheka, that he had to play Dzerzhinsky again - in 1981, but already in the film "December Twentieth."
"The death of Tairov"
In 2004, Mikhail Mikhailovich Kozakov embodied on the screens the image of the famous Soviet director Tairov in the film "Death of Tairov." The picture was shot by Boris Blank, who throughout his career participated in making films mainly as an artist. In the Soviet period, Blank acted as a director only when he worked on the film âThe Human Voiceâ. But after the 90s, Boris Leibovich made a number of paintings, including the one mentioned in the subtitle.
The fate of the director Tairov was not easy, therefore, it is a valuable find for the screenwriter: from 1904, Alexander Yakovlevich played in the theater, from 1908 he began to stage performances, in 1914 he created his own Chamber Theater. However, in the 49th, the Soviet authorities closed Tairovâs âbrainchildâ, which the director could not endure and ended up in a psychiatric hospital. In 1950, the famous actor and director passed away.
The film deserves praise not only because of the excellent play of actors Mikhail Kozakov and Alla Demidova - the costume designerâs work, which was awarded the Nika and Golden Eagle awards, was also at its best.
"Carrot Love"
Mikhail Kozakov is an actor who continued to act actively until his death in 2011. His last film was the role of Dr. Kogan in the comedy Love-Carrot 3. Kozakov played the doctor-wizard in all three parts, but in the last he did not have time to voice himself, so his son, actor Kirill Kozakov, did it for him.
In the story, Dr. Kogan is a person who completely turned over the family life of Marina (Kristina Orbakaite) and Andrey Golubev (Gosha Kutsenko). In the first picture, the couple comes to see him herself, because they canât restore their former feelings. Kogan helps to establish mutual understanding in the family by changing Marina and Andrei bodies. In subsequent parts, he performs a similar trick with their children, as well as mother-in-law and father-in-law. It was on this fun and cheerful comedy work that the career of the famous actor and director Mikhail Kozakov ended.
Personal life
Mikhail Kozakov is an actor who has been married five times.
His first chosen one was Greta Taar, with whom he studied at school together. Greta once worked as a dresser at Mosfilm. She gave birth to Kozakova two children - Katerina (later became a philologist) and Cyril. The son followed in the footsteps of his father and became a famous Russian actor. He can be seen in the series âCountess de Monsoroâ in the role of the Duke of Anjou, as well as in the fantastic movie âThe Calculatorâ.
In 1968, Kozakov married Medea Berelashvili. Their joint daughter Manana Kozakova became a famous Georgian actress. In the 71st, the actor tied the knot with another woman - the translator Regina Bykova. The couple did not make joint children. But two children gave birth to Kozakova Anna Yampolskaya, with whom he cohabited in Israel. From 2006 to the end of his days, Mikhail Kozakov lived with Nadezhda Sedova.
