The film "The Lord of the Elements"

The plot of the film takes place in a fantasy world, which in its setting resembles the medieval Far East. Over the centuries, four nations: the Tribe of Water, Air nomads, the People of Fire and the Kingdom of the Earth - peacefully existed among themselves. Some people had incredible abilities - they knew how to control the elements of their people. Harmony and balance between nations supported Avatar, which is subject to all four elements.

However, peaceful life has come to an end. After all, once the People of Fire unleashed a war. Perhaps the conflict could be resolved with the help of the Avatar. But, unfortunately, he disappeared without a trace. A hundred years have passed. The war is coming to an end, and the People of Fire, as never before, is close to victory. However, the world has a new hope. The young water mage of Qatar and the warrior of the Tribe of Water Sokka find the last air mage named Aang, who is the new embodiment of the Avatar. But can the Avatar team stop the People of Fire and restore harmony to the world?

Antagonists

In contrast to the Avatar team, the brutal, bloodthirsty People of Fire, led by the Master of Fire named Ozai, is set. However, in the first film, Shyamalan did not pay much attention to this character. The Master of Fire appeared only in a couple of scenes, and during the film this hero never revealed to the full. And this is the right decision. After all, Ozai is the main villain of the Universe Avatar. Therefore, do not reveal all the cards at once. It is necessary to leave something for the sequels.

The main villain of the film is Admiral Jao. This character is a vivid representative of the warlike People of Fire. Jao is a symbol of cruelty and aggression. In the film, the admiral led the attack on the Northern Water Tribe. Moreover, in a fit of rage, Jao killed one of Koi's fish, which maintained a balance between the world of spirits and people. This led to terrible events. Fortunately, Avatar, along with his friends, was able to rectify the situation and stop Jao.

In addition, Azula, the sister of Prince Zuko, appeared in the film "Elementalist". If the "Elementalist 2" is released, then for sure she will become the main antagonist of the sequel.

But perhaps the most interesting character in the movie is Prince Zuko. He is a representative of the People of Fire and throughout the film hunts for the Avatar. However, this character cannot be called a villain. Prince Zuko is rather an antihero. After all, all his actions have a clear goal and are supported by powerful motivation. Want to know more about this character? Read on.

Zuko

In the film, Zuko is a talented magician of fire, the son of Ozai himself and, accordingly, the heir to the throne. Once the young prince decided to attend a military meeting. Despite the promise to silently watch the action, Prince Zuko began furiously opposing the plan of one of the generals. The commander wanted to throw young and untrained soldiers into battle as a distracting maneuver, thereby condemning them to certain death. Ozai, believing that his son was unacceptable, orders him to fight in a duel called Agni Kai.

Prince zuko

Prince Zuko thought he would fight the general, but as it turned out, his own father became his opponent. After all, the plan announced at the meeting was invented by Ozay. Prince Zuko refuses to fight with his own father and begins to ask for mercy. However, the Master of Fire believes that the young prince disgraced himself. It is for this reason that he leaves Zuko a huge scar on his face and expels him from the country. Now the prince cannot return to his homeland until he catches Avatar, whom no one has seen for a hundred years.

It is for this reason that Zuko so stubbornly pursues the air mage and his team. After all, the only way to return home is the Avatar. Prince Zuko throughout the picture is trying to catch the air mage. And in the end he succeeds. In the film, Prince Zuko and Qatar fought each other, and having defeated the girl, the fire mage finally grabbed Avatar. Nevertheless, Aang managed to escape from captivity.

Iro

Another significant character for the mythology of the film is the uncle of Prince Zuko named Iro. He is a loving uncle and mentor to the prince. When Zuko is expelled from the country, Iro goes into exile with his nephew. Although this character is a representative of the People of Fire, to call Ayro a villain just does not turn his tongue. After all, in the movie, he tried to stop Admiral Jao when he attacked Koi's fish.

Prince Zuko and May

Also in the film "Elementalist" was missing a pretty important character named May. This is Zuko's girl, whom he was forced to abandon due to his exile. This character plays a huge role in the story of the Avatar. And it is unfortunate that the screen time was not enough to show May and her relationship with Zuko. Nevertheless, M. Night Shyamalan will surely correct this omission in the following films about the adventures of Avatar, if the film studio still gives the director a green light.
