Biography
Boris Alexandrovich was born in 1925 in Moscow. His parents were far from music. His father was engaged in economic geography, and his mother was a doctor. Of course, they, like all educated people, loved art and music. Ethical education greatly influenced the life of Tchaikovsky.
Training
As early as 9 years old, the future composer became a student at the Gnesinsky School of Music. Here, his teacher was the pianist E.F. Gnesin. Moreover, already at school, he began to study composition. The boy created his first foreplay at the age of 13. It was written so professionally that Tchaikovsky performed with her on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. Boris Alexandrovich later included it in his Symphony with a harp.
Then he continued his studies at the Gnesins School. His last point was the Moscow Conservatory. Lev Oborin taught him the piano class, immediately Tchaikovsky continued to study composition. At 24, the musician graduated and worked as a radio editor. Having worked here for more than 3 years, he realized that his true calling was composition, especially when such great people were his teachers. So in 1952 he began to create music.
Personal life
The wife of Boris Alexandrovich was Yanina-Irena Iosifovna Moshinskaya. At one time, she graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky. After the death of her husband, Yanina-Irena Iosifovna organized the society of B.A. Tchaikovsky, which was engaged in the collection and storage of the creative heritage of her husband. In 2013, she died. The woman was buried in the same grave with Boris Alexandrovich.
Last years
For a long time, Boris Alexandrovich worked as secretary of the Union of Composers. He was awarded many prizes, his work was accepted around the world, and posthumously he received the Prize of the Mayor of Moscow. He was a famous musician who, with all his creative greatness, was distinguished by modesty, shyness and restraint. He could show his emotions only in his works.
In the last years of his life, Boris Tchaikovsky became a professor in the composition department of the Gnesins Institute. Here he brought up several talented musicians, with whom he instilled the best qualities of a composer, a love of art, man and life. Boris Alexandrovich was a true patriot and a very honest man. He endured all the political changes that occurred in the 90s. He worried about the morality of society and the crisis of culture, but, unfortunately, could not do anything about it.

Despite the fact that Pyotr Tchaikovsky was not his relative, he, along with Borodin, Lyadov and Mussorgsky, significantly influenced the work of Boris Alexandrovich.

He created orchestral creations individually, in his own way, working on composition and design.
Symphonies
Boris Tchaikovsky is a composer who was not afraid of the new, but did not forget the old, classical. His main base of works became symphonies. Therefore, one can often hear that he is called a symphonist. The second and Sevastopol symphonies became the most popular works of this genre. The theme and eight variations for the symphony orchestra are no less famous.

The composer was demanding not only to students, but also to himself, to his work. Therefore, after his death, many of his creations were found unpublished.
In 1985, Tchaikovsky was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR for his merits and work. For the Second Symphony he was awarded the honor of the USSR State Prize.
