Group "Propaganda" in the Russian show business

Three soloists of the Propaganda group - Vika Petrenko, Vika Voronina and Julia Garanina - became widely known to the public in the early 2000s. This happened largely due to their bright appearance and charismatic execution. But not without the help of producer Sergei Izotov, the Propaganda group attracted the attention of a multimillion-dollar Russian audience.

How it all began...

Before the girls gained popularity, they had to endure a lot of disappointments and difficulties. Earning a living was given by performances on Christmas trees. The girls worked as clowns and life-size puppets, and lounged around on the old Arbat, singing their own songs.

A. Kozin, director of a well-known recording studio, accidentally drew attention to one of these performances. A few days later the group "Propaganda" was introduced to them by producer S. Izotov. He helped to record the first hit to the collective and "brought" to the big stage. So the general public became known composition "Chalk".

Composition change

But to hold out in one team in the harsh conditions of show business was not easy. At one of the performances, the audience noticed that the group “Propaganda” changed its composition. Instead of three girls, two came on the scene, one of which was completely unknown. They explained to the fans that Victoria Petrenko left the group as a result of a split and a "discrepancy" with the moral appearance of pop stars.

Following her, Julia left the team. As expected, the renewed group “Propaganda”, whose composition has changed, has changed its image.

New girls - Olga Moreva and Irina Yakovleva - worked on their appearance, worked on new songs and with great difficulty recorded their first album.

On top of popularity

The album appeared in 2002 and was called "Kids." Following him came out and a remix album. The group "Propaganda" got to the top of the charts. New videos, songs, tours led to the fact that the soloists began to recognize their hits more and more often sounded on the air of popular radio stations. 2003 was one of the most successful years, at which time another album, “So Be It,” appeared. The enormous popularity of Ira, Vika and Ola brought the song of the group “Propaganda” called “Super Baby”. A video was shot on it and a colorful disc was released, the songwriter for which was the soloist Vika Voronina. In 2004, the group won the Golden Gramophone for the composition Yai-Ya.

Since the beginning of its existence, the group has already released 7 albums, toured Russia and not only with tours. But here the "star disease" of one of the participants again led to a change in composition. Deciding to start a solo career, in 2011 Vika Voronina left the team, her place was taken by Vika Bogoslovskaya (one of the participants in the "Star Factory"). Chanting with Ira and Olya no more than six months, and she left them. And in July 2012, Maria Nedelkova joined the Propaganda group.

Constant work on images, experiments with disco style, bright attractive appearance of the participants, talented performance allow to stay afloat in the conditions of tough Russian show business. And today you can hear hits performed by a new composition, which, according to critics, is in no way inferior to the original.
