While filmmakers at The Walt Disney Studios are developing the Marvel comic universe to make huge profits, their rivals at Warner Studios are doing the same, but with the Sun Comics universe. Among the most successful recent projects of The CW is the Strela series, based on the Green Arrow comic strip.
When in one of the seasons, the authors spent two episodes on introducing the audience to the character of criminal police officer Barry Allen, it became clear that soon the pantheon of superheroes would replenish with another member. Indeed, in 2014, the studio began broadcasting the series "Flash" (Flash translates as "flash"). Both shows, whenever possible, emphasize their plot relationship, involuntarily prompting viewers to compare projects.
Unfortunately, according to reviews, the series "Flash" openly loses to "Strela", if you compare them.
Brief description of the plot of the first season
In the metropolis of Central City, tests are being conducted of a facility - an accelerator of elementary particles. The experiment fails, the device explodes, the city is pierced by radiation from another dimension. Among the victims of the accident - police forensics Barry Allen (Grant Gastin). It is exposed to laboratory chemicals mixed with radiation. As a result, the young man falls into a coma.
The hero comes to his senses only a few months later and discovers that he has acquired superpowers - amazing regeneration and tremendous, prohibitive speed. After consulting with Oliver Quinn from Strela, Allen decides to become a superhero - the protector of Central City.
The start of a superhero TV show
The first season of the series "Flash" received critical reviews from critics. Adherents of the project claimed that the show has good potential and interesting bookmarks for future episodes and even seasons. In addition, the main character is a very charming guy, and his environment and colleagues are quite attractive. The final revelation of the pilot series confirmed the presence of intrigue, which became more interesting in the process of broadcasting each new episode.
However, more skeptical filmmakers, posting reviews and reviews on the Flash series, were restrained in their assessments, reflecting only on how many unique fighting techniques the creators could squeeze out of Allen's speedy uniqueness.
Adventure Continuation
After the dramatic events of the first season, Barry Allen, fearing for the lives of his friends, for a certain period becomes a lone hero. But very soon, in the face of the impending threat, he will again assemble a team of associates.
Flash is not able to withstand the attack of meta-people from the parallel dimension “Earth-2”. An invincible armada is sent to Earth by the main villain Zoom, possessing super-speed, like Flash. He has already conquered Earth-2 and is extremely hostile towards human civilization. Only Flash and his team are able to stop the invaders.
Chaotic second season
The best explanation of why the ratings of the project during the second season were static, but did not fall at times, is that Flash is one of the most popular characters in the DC Comics universe, and handsome Grant Gastin is a talented and charismatic actor who has gained experience in the show “ Chorus. "
But at the same time, the second season of the series "Flash" received negative reviews. Some reviewers, trying to be objective, called him, if not helpless, then very weak. Fans were frankly upset by the new villain, who in essence was similar to the antagonist of the first season. Zoom also rushes at an incredible speed, is dressed in a special suit and wants to use Flash for its vile purposes. The leapfrog with old characters and the introduction of new ones did not benefit the project either.
Take it ready!
The confusion with branches is only one side of the general mess that reigned on the screen. Most of the respondents, expressing their opinions and feedback on the Flash series, indicated in publications that it was necessary to get rid of Zoom in 10 episodes. Then the story would be dynamic, and the atmosphere - tense according to all the canons of the genre. And 23 episodes are too much. Therefore, the authors filled them with anything, even “water”, like the Mexican “soap operas”.
At the same time, the audience’s reviews of the Flash series emphasize the good moments of the season, for example, a visit to a parallel dimension. But let's be honest, the project skidded more often than moved forward.
Third season
Defeating Zuma, Flash returns to the past to save his mother from death. Changes in the events of the past make significant adjustments to the world of the present. Barry realizes that he will have to return everything back. He is trying to correct his mistake, but, of course, he is not able to recreate the universe exactly as it was before. Among other things, he has new enemies, moreover, extremely dangerous and powerful. Manipulations with reality never go unnoticed.
Step forward
The third season of the series "Flash" in the reviews was named by fans more successful than the second. There were more villains, so the story became less lengthy. Intrigue and drama has become more. Flash and associates interacted with all the unique heroes of the Strela TV universe, and in the 17th episode, Grant Gastin pleased the audience with his vocal abilities. He was inimitable both in a comic duet with Melissa Benoist from "Supergirl" and in the solo performance of the soulful ballad Runnin 'Home To You. Perhaps that is why the third season of the series "Flash" reviews received more supportive.
Since the third season was better than the second, it is hoped that the long-announced fourth season will be the most successful, and the fifth - delightful.
