When exposed to open air, Novikov's solution solidifies, forming a dense layer on the surface in the form of an elastic film of dark green color. This property of the medicinal composition is used to prevent infection of minor skin defects.

According to the mechanism of action, this composition is usually referred to as antiseptic and wound healing agents.

This medicine is available in bottles with a volume of 20 or 30 milliliters, closed with corks with foil pads. There is also a container option - a dropper bottle.
