The origins
The family and biography of Pavel Vinnik originates in the city of Vinnitsa, where his father, Boris Vinnik, once arrived, after he had been expelled from the third year of the Imperial Moscow Technical School, where he studied at the Faculty of Mechanics, before being sentenced to revolution.
Nevertheless, in Vinnitsa Boris became a reputable and successful bridge engineer. Here he married and soon, on September 22, 1925, a son Paul was born to happy parents.
In 1932, his father was transferred to work in the city of Odessa, where he moved with his family. In Odessa, Boris Vinnik worked as an engineer at one of the light industry enterprises, and then became a teacher of mathematics.
All other relatives of Pavel Vinnik were associated with the famous Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater, which at that time was considered the best in the world.
True, they were not actors at all - his mother worked as a dressmaker in her, her sister was a janitor, and their father, Pavelās grandfather, served as a watchman in this theater. However, Pavel, from an early age playing in fake dress while his mother was sewing theatrical costumes, since then, since childhood, he dreamed of becoming an actor himself, so that his mother would sew the stage wardrobe not to anyone, but only to him.
At the same time, Paul didnāt lose interest in the stage and work, and at the age of twelve he played his first role as a grandfather in The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish.
And then everything changed - sirens howled, explosions of shells rumbled and peacetime ended.
War
Father went to the front as a volunteer one of the first. By that time he was far from young and poor in health, but he was well versed in the sapper business and therefore they took him. He had only a few months to live - on September 13, 1941, his family received a funeral.
Odessa was taken into the ring by the German and Romanian armies, and all its inhabitants went to its defense. Together with other teenagers, Pavel Vinnik covered sand lighter bombs, and then joined the Odessa fighter battalion, consisting of volunteers - workers, students and civilians, whose task was to fight enemy paratroopers and saboteurs.
So the first three years of the war of the Komsomol member Pavel passed, during which he served the retreating homeland, hiding in the underground of the Odessa catacombs, and waging a guerrilla war against the fascists and Romanian policemen who flooded his hometown.
April 10, 1944 the army of General R.Ya. Malinovsky liberated Odessa from the Nazi invaders, and the future actor was in the infantry rifle regiment of the 5th shock army.

According to the recognition of Pavel Borisovich Vinnik himself, he survived only due to genuine paternal care for him, a young nineteen-year-old guy, and other soldiers of his regiment.

Theatre
Demobilized in 1945, Pavel returned to Odessa, and fulfilled his short childhood dream of an acting future, enrolling in the Theater and Art School looted by Romanian marauders, and after graduating from it, in the country's oldest theater school, M.S. Higher Theater School Shchepkina at the State Academic Maly Theater, followed by training at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts.
After graduating from a theater school in 1950, a young graduate of Vinnik was enrolled in the troupe of the Moscow Drama Theater, now the Vladimir Mayakovsky Moscow Academic Theater, to which the actor Pavel Borisovich Vinnik served seven years.
His appearance was not at all heroic - a skinny, red, spilled swindler. They, crooks, he had to play almost his entire creative life.
In 1958, the principal Pavel, who began acting in films in 1950 and did not find a common language with the theater management, had to leave the State actor, who he subsequently served for about thirty years. Then he left him, because of the same principle. After a little more than a year, he worked at the State Academic Maly Theater of Russia, playing in such performances as The Prince of Silver and The Little Humpbacked Horse. Ultimately, after a meeting with the artistic director of the Moscow Art Academic Theater named after M. Gorky Tatyana Doronina, Pavel Vinnik became an actor of the Moscow Art Theater.

Pavel Borisovich was never a hero-lover. Neither in life, nor even more so on the screen. In the art of cinema, his eternal role has become small minor and episodic roles. However, the master of the episode, Vinnik was so big that the audience remembered literally several phrases said by his next hero for decades.
His film debut was a film about the Great Patriotic War "Brave People", released in 1950, and instantly became the leader of the Soviet film distribution. In it, Pavel Vinnik played the partisan Serezha.

Tatyana, like Pavel Vinnik, was already married to him and raised a son, whom the actor subsequently adopted. And later, God gave them a common child - a boy. Their children gave them five grandchildren.
The wife of Pavel Borisovich has absolute pitch, flair and rhythm. For many years, she worked with the famous film director and screenwriter Gleb Panfilov, for whom she mounted all his latest paintings.
Last years
At the end of his life, the actor and his wife lived in their country house, which the couple called the summer house. There they spent almost all their time doing simple households consisting of five chickens, a rooster, two dogs and a cat with a kitten.
Until his last day, Pavel Borisovich Vinnik considered himself a happy person. Despite his advanced age, he was distinguished by great energy, willpower and love for his colleagues, in every possible way helping them in the revival of the Propaganda Bureau of domestic cinema.
