Lamisil is a broad-field antifungal agent. Depending on the type of fungus and on the dosage, it may have a fungicidal or fungistatic effect. Lamisil spray is used in the treatment of fungal diseases of the skin, as well as hair and nails, in other words - diseases caused by dermatophytes, Candida mushrooms and others. It works due to terbinafine, which reduces the concentration of ergosterol by inhibiting the biosynthesis of sterols inside the fungus. At the same time, terbinafine dulls the effects of squalene epoxidase, which leads to the extinction of fungal cells. It does no harm to the metabolism of other drugs, hormonal drugs are also on this list.
When applied externally, systemic absorption occurs at only 5%. Lamisil spray - a drug that quickly begins to act. The results are already visible on 3-4 days, and full recovery occurs after 3-4 weeks.

In this case, after applying the drug, areas of the skin must be covered with gauze.
With mycosis of the interdigital and inguinal region, the spray is applied 1 time per day; with candidiasis, onychomycosis and pityriasis versicolor apply 1 or 2 times a day.
Typically, the results are visible for 2-4 days, but the period of treatment with the drug should last at least 2-4 weeks, with onychomycosis - at least 6-11 weeks. The treatment of onychomycosis is so long, because the entire nail should be completely replaced, and if growth is slowed down, you need to use the drug for 11 weeks.
