Rice casserole: recipe

Rice casserole is a dish for all occasions. It can be served with equal success for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Many people think that a casserole is everyday food, but this dish, if it is well prepared and decorated, can decorate any feast.

Rice casserole, the recipe of which can contain both sweet and salty ingredients, is served with various sauces, for example, soy, tomato, sour cream and others.

Classic Rice Casserole

Classic rice casserole - its recipe is very simple and should be in the culinary arsenal of every self-respecting housewife.

Ingredients:

- boiled rice - 1 cup;

- raisins - half a glass;

- chicken eggs - 2 pieces;

- fresh milk;

- granulated sugar;

- butter.

To prepare this dish, pour the washed raisins with boiling water and steam it thoroughly. This makes raisins soft and destroys harmful microorganisms that could get on it. While the raisins are in boiling water, you need to slightly beat the eggs with a whisk, gradually adding sugar to them.

Then carefully combine boiled rice with raisins and an egg-sugar mixture, dilute everything with milk to the consistency of thick sour cream.

Put the dough in a mold and bake in the oven until golden brown.

Casserole with rice and cottage cheese

Here is a rice casserole, a recipe suitable for children and adults. This dish is very nutritious and contains a lot of useful substances. It will appeal to everyone, without exception.

Ingredients:

- low-fat cottage cheese - 200 g;

- long grain rice - 1 cup;

- cow's milk - 2 glasses;

- water without gas - 2 glasses;

- granulated sugar - 2-3 tablespoons;

- chicken eggs - 3 pieces;

- sweet varieties apple - 1 pc.;

- raisins - 80 g;

- sour cream 15% - 1 tbsp. l .;

- breadcrumbs - 30 g;

- strawberry jam - 40 g;

- vegetable oil (any) - a teaspoon.

Rice casserole with cottage cheese is prepared as follows. First you need to boil the rice in half milk (this is milk half diluted with water). Meanwhile, you can do the rest of the ingredients. Beat eggs with sugar, rinse and scald raisins with boiling water, wipe the cottage cheese, peel and cut the apple into small slices.

When the rice is cooked, it needs to be well cooled and combined with all prepared foods. Add vanilla sugar and mix thoroughly.

Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, put the mixture in it. Lubricate the surface with an egg mixed with sour cream and put in the oven preheated to 220 degrees. Bake the casserole until golden brown. Then cool it a bit, cut into portions. Serve with strawberry or other berry jam.

French Cherry Rice Casserole

This French casserole is a real culinary masterpiece, which was invented by cooks from this amazing country. It turns out to be tender and soft, and its vanilla taste resembles a cream brulee dessert.

Casserole Ingredients:

- round grain rice - 100 g;

- chicken eggs - 4 pcs.;

- brown sugar - 75 g;

- vanilla essence - one tsp;

- butter - one tbsp. l .;

- milk - half a liter;

- powdered sugar - 2 tbsp. l .;

- fresh cherries or cherries - 20 pcs.;

- table salt - half a tsp.

For five minutes, cook over low heat rice, poured with a liter of water. Drain the rice and transfer it to the pan, where one glass of water and one and a half glasses of milk boil. Often stirring, cook it without a lid on low heat for 20-25 minutes.

When the rice is ready, it needs to be cooled slightly and combined with the remaining milk, vanilla essence, sugar, salt, and then mix well. Eggs need to be added one at a time, mixing well each time.

Put the future casserole in the prepared form, put washed pitted cherries on its surface and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Put the mold in the oven for 45 minutes. The casserole is cooked at a temperature of 175 degrees until a golden crust appears. The rice casserole, the recipe of which is described above, is served warm with sour cream or vanilla sauce.
