How to cook salmon in the oven?

If you can afford to buy fish of this variety, then we advise you to cook it according to the recipe below. Baked salmon in foil will appeal to you and your children, because this variety is especially juicy from all varieties.

How to cook salmon in the oven? This method of cooking whole salmon is simple and does not require special culinary skills. You do not need to cook fish in advance, you just need to bake salmon in a baking bag. Just like salmon in foil in the oven, you can also bake salmon or any other red fish. The product can be marinated in advance and left overnight. The refined taste of this dish will delight you, and you do not have to stand for hours at the stove.

To prepare the fish you will need the following ingredients:

  • 2.5 kg of pre-gutted salmon;
  • 1 thinly sliced ​​lemon;
  • bay leaf (can be ground);
  • fennel root;
  • black pepper (several peas);
  • garlic (a few cloves);
  • parsley;
  • 200 ml of white wine;
  • salt (to taste).

To prepare a salad to be served with fish, you need the following ingredients:

  1. 1 fresh cucumber (chopped in circles);
  2. 1 bunch of watercress;
  3. 1 fennel root (sliced ​​in thin circles);
  4. dill (finely chopped);
  5. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice;
  6. 1 tablespoon of olive oil;
  7. 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar.

Next, consider the cooking sequence.

Gut the whole salmon. Wash and dry the fish well with kitchen cloths. To prevent fins from burning in the oven, they must be cut off. Depending on the size of the form in which you will bake salmon, you can cut off the head and tail.

After you have prepared the fish, you can fill it with lemon. Place lemon slices, fennel and 1 to 2 bay leaves in the fish. Put a piece of crumpled foil in the middle of the fish in order to keep it in shape (you can pre-marinate the fish).

Next, prepare the baking dish. We place the sheets of foil there and grease liberally with olive or vegetable oil. On a spread foil we spread slices of lemon, peas of black pepper, bay leaf and chopped parsley.

Grate the fish with crushed garlic and salt to taste (instead of salt, you can also use seasoning for fish). When the form is ready, put the fish there and pour dry white wine. Salmon must be covered with foil on top so that it is evenly soaked in juice, wine and not dry.

Preheat the oven to 180 - 200 ˚C. Place the fish in the oven and bake it for 35-40 minutes.

Wait for the salmon to cool, and transfer it to another bowl (it can fall apart when hot). While the fish is hot, remove the skin with a thin knife from the top of the head to the tail.

Next, for decoration and beautiful presentation of the dish, we prepare a salad. Cut cucumber and fennel into rings. Add dill and cress leaves to the salad. Pour white wine vinegar, olive oil and mix well. You can add lemon juice to taste.

Put the salad on a large dish, and gently place the fish on top. You can serve salmon not only with salad, but also with vegetables.
