"Candibiotic" is a medical tool used in ENT practice. In addition to a pronounced anti-infectious effect, it has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect and is one of the leaders among medicines treating ear diseases. A balanced combination of multidirectional components is what makes Candibiotic unique. It is extremely difficult to find an analogue to this tool, since none of them has such a complex versatile effect.
Composition and form of release
The composition of the "Candibiotic" includes various components with a specific mechanism of action, such as:
- beclomethasone dipropionate - a substance of the glucocorticoid series;
- Chloramphenicol antibiotic - disrupts protein synthesis in the bacterial cell and leads to its destruction: its wide spectrum of action, includes all known pathogens of acute otitis media of the middle and outer ear, is effective against both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria ;
- clotrimazole is a fungicidal substance that can disrupt the synthesis of one of the main components of the cell membrane of fungi, changing its permeability and leading to lysis (destruction);
- lidocaine is an anesthetic that blocks the transmission of nerve impulses in the cell, which relieves pain.
In addition, the composition contains auxiliary compounds glycerol and propylene glycol, enhancing the effectiveness of the main active substances. They provide the high effectiveness of the drug "Candibiotic". An analogue with the same composition does not exist on the market of pharmacological agents.
The drug "Candibiotic" is a light yellow liquid. It is placed in a bottle of dark glass with a volume of 5 ml, packed in a cardboard box with the attached instructions. Dosing is carried out by a special stopper-pipette, which is also included in the kit. Candibiotic is dispensed from pharmacies only with a prescription from a doctor. Self-medication is categorically unacceptable.
What are the features and advantages of Candibiotics?
The difference between “Candibiotics” and other ENT agents is the simultaneous combination of antibacterial, fungicidal and pain-relieving components. This is especially true in the case of acute inflammatory processes of the hearing organ, when urgent relief of unpleasant symptoms is necessary.
The strongest antimicrobial effect is due to a combination of two components: clotrimazole and chloramphenicol. It is aimed at combating not only bacteria and microscopic fungi, but also many protozoa. The presence of beclomethasone provides a powerful anti-inflammatory effect, relieves swelling, eliminates allergic manifestations. These properties testify to the versatility of the Candibiotic preparation (an analogue with exactly this composition is not produced), which can replace several drugs at once.

- chronic otitis media in the acute stage;

Contraindications
It is forbidden to use "Candibiotic" in the following cases:
- perforation (rupture) of the eardrum;

Drops "Thuja C1" - a popular homeopathic medicine used in acute otitis media. It is based on the component of the same name Thuja C1, dissolved in ethyl alcohol. The action of the drops is strictly individual, depending on the age of the patient and associated pathologies.
Sometimes with acute otitis media, Farmazolin may be prescribed in the ear. This drug has a completely different mechanism of action. It causes a sharp narrowing of blood vessels, thanks to it there is a quick (literally after 5-10 minutes) removal of inflammation.
