Cooking in clay pots in an oven is our national tradition, which is still alive. True, we bake food no longer in the oven, but in a conventional oven. The classic dish, which is usually made in clay dishes, is potatoes with mushrooms and / or meat. True, mushrooms are now increasingly not forest but store ones, so here are a few recipes for potatoes with mushrooms in pots.
What ingredients can be added
You can add onions, garlic, carrots, tomatoes, bell peppers, tomato paste, pickles to potatoes and mushrooms.
The most suitable seasonings for such a dish are rosemary, bay leaf, thyme, ground pepper. They will make the taste and aroma of potatoes with mushrooms more intense. At the same time, in seasonings you need to know the measure and not shift them.
In addition, you can put sour cream, milk, mayonnaise, cream, cheese and, of course, meat: chicken, veal, pork, turkey, beef.
Lean dish

- six potato tubers;
- bulb;
- vegetable oil;
- 200 g of fresh champignons;
- two glasses of water;

In addition to the above ingredients, you can buy a special seasoning for mushroom dishes, but this is not necessary. To enhance the taste of champignons, it is recommended to add fenugreek, but this is optional.
How to cook:
- First you need to turn on the oven and heat it up to 200 degrees.
- Chop the onion and sautΓ© it in a skillet in sunflower oil (or any other).
- Cut the champignons quite large and put to the onion, salt, pepper, add mushroom seasoning, if you wish, and fry over moderate heat until the liquid evaporates. At the same stage, fenugreek is added to the pan, which is put whole, and after the completion of the frying process, discarded.
- Peel and chop the potatoes, salt and mix. Fill it with pots for three quarters. Put champignons with onions on top, then pour water so that it does not cover the mushrooms.
- Put the pots in the oven for about 40 minutes. Readiness is determined by the softness of the potato.
Remove the pots and potatoes from the oven, decorate with herbs and place on the table. There is such a dish you need hot. If desired, you can add crushed garlic to it and let stand for 10-15 minutes. Who does not recognize lean dishes, can add a piece of butter in a pot of ready-made potatoes.
The food in the pot remains hot for a long time and can be kept for some time in a heated oven.
With pickles
What do you need:
- 1.5 kg of potatoes;
- 10 champignons;
- three onions;
- three carrots;
- 4 pickles;
- three tablespoons of tomato paste;
- three tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- salt.
How to cook:
- Slice the onion in half rings, the champignon slices, grate the carrots.
- Fry onions, mushrooms and carrots in vegetable oil (minutes 7-8), then put in a pot. The next layer is pickles, cut into cubes or circles. Then fill the container to the top with potatoes, sliced ββin slices.
- Fill the pot with water, put the tomato paste and salt.
- Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes at 200 degrees.
With sour cream
To prepare potatoes with champignons in pots according to this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
- a kilogram of potatoes;
- a glass of sour cream;
- bulb;
- 350 g of champignons;
- vegetable oil;
- rosemary;
- salt.

- Peel the mushrooms, wash with tap water, dry and cut into medium slices.
- Dice the onions, fry them in sunflower oil until soft, add mushrooms to it, mix, simmer for about ten minutes.
- Put half a glass of sour cream in the speed, where the mushrooms were stewed with onions, salt, toss rosemary, mix.
- Peel the potatoes, wash, cut into cubes and fry separately in a pan with sunflower oil.

Another recipe for cooking meat in pots with potatoes and mushrooms is with veal or lean pork. Those who do not like the taste and smell of bell pepper in such dishes are recommended to replace it with a tomato or two tablespoons of tomato sauce.
So what are the ingredients:
- 350 g of meat;
- one onion;
- half a carrot;
- 10 champignons;
- one bell pepper;
- three tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- two pieces of medium-sized potatoes per serving:
- Provencal herbs;
- salt;
- ground pepper;
- broth or water.
How to cook:
- Peel the meat from the films, rinse with cool water, dry and cut into small portions. Too large to share is not worth it, otherwise it will take longer to cook.
- Pour vegetable oil onto a hot skillet, put the meat on a rather strong (but not maximum) fire, fry the pieces so that they are "sealed" on all sides. Cook with constant stirring until the color changes, then reduce the heat and leave for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. It is not necessary to fry meat strongly; the appearance of a slightly golden crust is sufficient.
- Peel the vegetables. Cut onions into quarters of rings, carrots into halves of potato slices, and potatoes into slices as large as meat and mushrooms into slices.
- Put the meat on a plate. In the same pan add oil (if necessary), put onions with carrots and bring to softness. Then put the mushrooms and add heat. When the juice from the mushrooms evaporates, the contents of the pan are fried. After that add spices - ground pepper, bay leaf. You can put garlic on request.
- Now you need to fill the pots. Pour a little oil at the bottom, put a layer of potatoes so that the container is filled by a third, and pepper and put a leaf of parsley. The next layer is meat, followed by mushrooms with carrots and onions. Lay on top the remaining potatoes, bell pepper, slightly compact and pour salted to taste boiling water (or broth). Pour water into pots so that it covers the potatoes, but not to the very top, otherwise it will leak out from under the lids when boiling. If there are no lids, tighten with foil or make a cake out of flour and salt water.
- Put the pots on the middle level of the oven at a temperature of 220 degrees. When the contents begin to boil, reduce the temperature to 170. Bake until cooked. The total time in the oven is about an hour and a half. Readiness is checked by the softness of the potato - it should crumble.
Get the pots out of the oven, after about ten minutes you can carry them to the table. It is recommended to eat potatoes with meat and mushrooms directly from the pot, without laying them on a plate. Optionally, add a spoonful of sour cream, chopped herbs and garlic.
With chicken
Chicken with mushrooms and potatoes in a pot can be prepared for the festive table. The following products will be required:
- 500 g of chicken;
- 250 g of mushrooms (champignons);
- one carrot;
- sunflower oil;
- 700 g of potatoes;
- one onion;
- two cloves of garlic;
- greens;
- thyme;
- salt;
- pepper.
How to cook:
- Dice onions and carrots, fry in a heated pan in sunflower oil.
- Dice potatoes.
- Cut the champignons into slices, add to the onions and carrots and simmer for ten minutes.
- When the moisture evaporates, put the thyme, finely chopped garlic and mix.

If there are no fresh mushrooms, you can make chicken with potatoes and canned mushrooms in pots in the oven. Their quantity is taken to taste, usually a little less is required: instead of 250 g of fresh - 150 g from a can.
With sausages
The following ingredients are needed for such a dish:
- three potato tubers;
- one or two sausages;
- half of the bulb;
- two tablespoons of canned champignons;
- two tablespoons of sour cream;
- salt.
How to cook:
- Cut the sausages in circles, potatoes in strips, onions into cubes.
- Fry onion with mushrooms and onions with sausages separately in vegetable oil.
- Lightly fry the potatoes.
