Cottage cheese is a delicious fermented milk product that supplies our body with many useful substances. This is an excellent source of calcium, which is important for the formation and maintenance of the human skeletal system. This is probably why it is widely used in the preparation of numerous dishes. The peculiarity of the cottage cheese is that it can be used to prepare both sweet, fruit and savory, spicy culinary artworks. The variety of recipes is simply amazing. One of the dishes that both adults and children love is cottage cheese balls. Photos of these products return us to childhood - even my grandmother did a similar delicacy.

For cooking, take 300 grams of cottage cheese, add sour cream (3 tbsp. Tablespoons), about 200 grams of sugar. All knead until smooth. In a teaspoon of soda, add a little lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, after the completion of the reaction, add to the cottage cheese, put a little salt. Knead everything again. Now you need to add the flour. It needs so much to get a fairly dense, but not hard dough. Knead until it starts to lag behind hands, form balls (with a diameter of 2-3 centimeters). In a thick-walled bowl (cauldron) we heat the oil. Here it is important not to overheat it. Dip into the cauldron several balls each. Temperature and fire should be medium. For 5-6 minutes, the balls should bake inside and not burn. They should have a nice golden color. Serve hot, sprinkled with powdered sugar.

An excellent appetizer is prepared from fatty cottage cheese (300 g). Add 50 grams of sour cream to it, 10 grams of curry seasoning and dried ground tomatoes (in extreme cases, you can replace a tablespoon of tomato paste, but then the mass will be liquid), 20 grams of chopped parsley, as well as ground black pepper and salt. Form curd balls from the resulting mass, roll in seasonings. They can be made multi-colored: part can be rolled in chopped dill or parsley, part in curry, and others in dried tomatoes. Put on a dish. Beautiful, unusual and piquant.

To prepare snacks, take fat cottage cheese (350-400 grams) and feta cheese (about 100 grams), wipe them through a sieve (you can use a blender). In the resulting mass add:

  • soft butter (100 grams);
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, passed through a press;
  • chopped walnuts (50 grams);
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice;
  • turmeric, salt, pepper, chopped herbs - to taste and desire.

Mix all ingredients, form balls, roll them in ground nuts, put on a dish and put on cold for 20-30 minutes.

Raffaello curd balls

This option is sure to appeal to children (those who love coconut). Take soft cottage cheese (500 grams), add sugar (100 grams) and carefully rub until a homogeneous pasty mass is obtained. Pour 120-150 grams of coconut, mix everything thoroughly. Divide the mass into small pieces in which you put a nut (you can take hazelnuts, peanuts, walnuts, etc.). Form balls, roll in crushed nuts and / or coconut, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Great dessert!
