Many of us are used to starting our morning with sandwiches. They are made from rolls, baguette, bran and rye bread. To date, a huge number of different recipes for such snacks are known in cooking. Among them are canapes, open and closed sandwiches. The latter are better known as sandwiches, and it is about them that will be discussed in today's article.
General principles
As a basis for making closed sandwiches, special rolls or shaped bread are often used, from which the crusts are cut. Before putting the filling on it, it is spread with grated horseradish, mayonnaise, mustard, butter or a special paste. Cheese, vegetables, fish, meat or sausage are placed on top. All this is covered with a second slice of bread.
In addition to ordinary sandwiches, there are so-called closed hot sandwiches. They are prepared according to the same principle, but at the very end they are greased with a beaten egg, rolled in breadcrumbs and fried in a pan greased with butter. To maintain the freshness and softness of such an appetizer, it is placed in a soup bowl and covered with a lid.
In addition, there are two- and three-layer sandwiches. They are single-component and combined. For the preparation of the latter, several products combining themselves are used. It can be butter, eggs and ham or herring.
Turkey variant
According to this recipe, you can relatively quickly cook closed sandwiches in Turkish. They turn out so tasty that they can be served not only for a family breakfast, but also for a festive table. To make this snack, you need to stock up on all the required ingredients in advance. In this case, your refrigerator should contain:
- A pound of turkey.
- 250 grams of olives.
- 1.5 tablespoons of tomato paste.
- Three bay leaves.
- 240 grams of buns.
- 0.5 teaspoon ground pepper.
- 1/3 cup raisins.
- A teaspoon of chili peppers.
- 8 cloves of garlic.
- A tablespoon of caraway seeds.
- Onion head.
So that the closed sandwiches made by you, the preparation of which does not take too much time, are not fresh and tasteless, you need to supplement the above list with table salt.
Process description
Vegetables should be taken first. Onions and garlic are peeled, chopped, sent to a pan greased with warmed olive oil, and fried until a light golden hue appears. After that, they add pepper, caraway seeds and bay leaves and continue to cook for two minutes.
Turkey fillets are washed in cool water, lightly dried with paper towels, cut into medium cubes and sent to a pan with onions and spices. All this is slightly salted and cooked for five minutes. Then spread the tomato paste in the same dishes, and a little later pour a couple of glasses of drinking water and add raisins and chopped olives. After boiling the liquid, the pan is covered with a lid and left on low heat. After a quarter of an hour, the dishes are removed from the stove and the bay leaf is removed from it.
The buns are cut in half, greased with olive oil and sent to the oven, heated to 120 degrees. Five minutes later, they are taken out of the oven and laid out on a dish. After that, they are smeared with Turkish mixture and covered with the second halves of buns. Ready closed hot sandwiches are served.
Sausage Option
These simple but delicious sandwiches will be the perfect breakfast for the whole family. They turn out quite nutritious and nutritious. In order for each member of your family to get a closed sandwich in the morning, a photo of which will be presented later, care must be taken in advance so that all the required ingredients are found in the kitchen. This time you will need:
- 100 grams of tomatoes.
- Packing bread for toast.
- 200 grams of boiled sausage.
- 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise.
- 100 grams of any hard cheese.
Salt and ground pepper will be used as additional ingredients.
Cooking technology
At the initial stage, you should start preparing products. Hard cheese is grated. Washed tomatoes are cut into cubes. Do the same with cooked sausage. All this is combined in one suitable container, greased with mayonnaise, salt, pepper and gently mixed.
Two pieces of bread are put in a preheated sandwich maker. Prepared filling is placed on top. The last layer is another piece of bread. After that, you can close and turn on the device. Prepare future closed sandwiches for five minutes. After that, they are laid out on a plate and served on the table. This recipe is good because it allows you to replace products. So, for lack of mayonnaise, you can use a beaten chicken egg. A sausage is easily replaced by boiled chicken.
Option with mozzarella and bell pepper
This simple but delicious sandwich lacks meat ingredients. It is good because its preparation does not require expensive scarce products. To make such closed sandwiches (recipes can be seen in today's publication), your kitchen should have:
- 450 grams of mozzarella.
- French baguette.
- A pair of glasses of chopped basil.
- Three sweet bell peppers.
- 1/3 cup olive oil.
Among other things, you should make sure in advance that at the right moment you have hand salt at hand. The amount of this ingredient will depend on the personal preferences of the cook and his relatives.
Sequencing
First of all, you need to turn on the oven. While it is heating, you can do the preparation of peppers. They are washed, dried with paper towels and cut in half. The resulting halves are laid out on the oven grate so that the slices are at the bottom, and baked for a quarter of an hour. When the peel begins to char, the peppers are turned over and left for another five minutes. Then they are placed in a paper bag and briefly put aside.
After about a quarter of an hour, peppers are carefully peeled. A few pieces are left on a separate plate for further decoration of sandwiches, and the rest of the pulp is sent to a blender. Basil, olive oil and salt are placed there. All this is crushed to a puree state.
French baguette cut along. After that, a little crumb is carefully removed from it. On the upper half, lay the chopped mozzarella. Puree and basil puree are placed on the bottom. Then the halves are stacked on top of each other. Ready-made closed sandwiches with mozzarella served to the table.
