This is puff pastry in which cheese is wrapped and everything goes to the oven. Cooking khachapuri on skewers is no more difficult. They will be saturated with the aroma of bonfire, the crust of the dough is well baked to a crunch, and the cheese inside will melt.

How to make dough?
Traditionally, puff pastry is used to make khachapuri. You can cook it yourself, but it is too laborious and time consuming process. If you spontaneously gathered to go outdoors and at the same time decided to fry khachapuri, then this option will not work.
Khachapuri puff pastry on skewers can be purchased at the supermarket. It is inexpensive, and you donβt have to knead, roll, cool, roll it again for several hours on your own!
But what if the decision to make khachapuri came spontaneously already in nature or in a village where there are no supermarkets? In a rural store, any dough is unlikely to be on sale, because in the village it is customary to cook it yourself. Cooking the dough in nature
If you decide to go outside for a few days, and prepare hachapuri on a skewer in one of them, then it is inexpedient to take the finished dough with you. It is better to take products with you to prepare the dough, they will need a little, and immediately prepare it in nature.
Ingredients for the dough:
- a quarter cup of vegetable oil;
- two glasses of flour;
- a tablespoon of sugar;
- 0.5 teaspoon of salt;
- a teaspoon of dried yeast;
- 2/3 glasses of water.
All these products will not go bad, you just need to pack the flour well in a plastic bag so that it does not become damp or crumple.
Itβs easy to cook dough in nature! This will require a deep bowl (preferably a container that closes tightly) and the ingredients described above.
- Pour half a glass of water into a bowl, add yeast and sugar, mix, let it brew for 10 minutes. During this time, a foam will appear, it will indicate that the yeast began to work.
- Add the remaining water (about another quarter cup), salt, butter and flour. Mix well.
- Knead the dough in a bowl, it should be soft, stick to your hands.
- Cover the container, the dough should rise for about 1.5 hours. If there is no container, then wrap the bowl with cling film so that insects do not get there.
Cooking Khachapuri
To prepare khachapuri, we need any semi-hard cheese (suluguni is ideal) and greens.
Instruction:
- Cheese should be cut into bars, put on a piece of skewer.
- Cut the greens, roll the cheese bars well in it.
- Tear the dough with your hands into several pieces, from each make a tourniquet.
- Wrap the cheese on skewers with dough, as is done when cooking sausages in the dough. Just do not leave holes, the cheese will flow out. Close the edges of the dough well around the skewer.
- During frying, the dough will increase by about 2 times, so you need to leave a place on the grill between skewers.
Fry each khachapuri until golden brown.
