Baked potatoes with meat

Potato is a product that can hardly surprise anyone. Arriving to us once from America, this vegetable has become truly native. But what if you still want to surprise? A great way to do this is to cook potatoes baked with meat. In this combination, the taste of potatoes will be revealed in a new way. So, especially for you, we publish a recipe for cooking potatoes with meat.

In order to bake this dish, you need the following set of products:

1 egg, pork - 500 grams, butter - 200 grams, starch - 1 spoon, cheese - 200 grams, potatoes - 500 grams, onions - 1 onion, mayonnaise, spices and salt to taste.

Pork should be cut into thin slices. Be sure to grate the meat with salt and spices to taste, then pour the meat with a special mixture. It consists of an egg, 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise (tablespoon, naturally), 1 tablespoon of starch. The meat must be left in this mixture for 2 hours - let it be pickled.

During this time, cook the potatoes, cut them into pieces (medium in size).

We prepare a baking sheet: first, put pieces of butter on it, the second layer is used for the potato, then the third layer is vegetables for your taste, carrots or peppers. Exclude cucumbers from the list of possible vegetables - when baked, they are not very tasty. On top of vegetables - onion, sliced ​​in rings. Then gently spread the pickled pork. As an additional layer, onion rings can again be used. We put the future potatoes, baked with meat, in the oven for twenty minutes.

After that we take out and sprinkle the dish with grated cheese. Then put the baking sheet in the oven for another 15 minutes so that the cheese can melt. Serve the dish hot, you can pour it with ketchup.

There is another opinion on how to cook potatoes with meat. Many bake potatoes and meat separately. But in this case, potatoes and meat will no longer be one whole dish. Potatoes will act as a side dish. And here it’s the opposite: baked potatoes with meat is one complete product.

So, now we will describe to you the second way how to cook this dish, which many mistakenly call meat in French. Conventionally, it can be called "cold cuts", because it contains in its composition the meat of various animals, namely: lamb, beef and pork. For the recipe you will need: 300 grams of beef, 300 grams of lamb, 300 grams of pork. 5 large onions, a kilogram of potatoes, pork fat for baking, 1 carrot. Seasoning, salt and garlic - to taste and desire. To add wine to the dish or not is your decision, this is not a mandatory item. If you decide to inject, then you need about half a liter.

We start cooking potatoes, baked with meat, from peeling vegetables. Then cut all the ingredients into large pieces. After everything is cut, put the ingredients in a large pan, salt, season and leave overnight to mix well. After that, spread the contents of the pan on a baking sheet with an even layer and set the dish to bake.

By the way, if you like potatoes with a crust in the form of chips, then you need to put it under the meat. If you, on the contrary, prefer a softer version of potatoes, then put it on top.

Serve the dish hot. Remember that a side dish is not needed. Although baked potatoes with meat, in some cases it is dry. This deficiency can be corrected if you prepare some salad of fresh vegetables and serve it along with your main dish.

Alternatively, you can use mayonnaise. If you pour plenty of mayonnaise on your dish, it will not be so dry. Some people use cheese sauce cooked on their own as a seasoning for potatoes with meat.
