A sandwich is literally translated as "bread and butter." Who was the first to start cooking them? Now it’s hard to install. The Jews, in ancient times, used to spread matzoh with butter and honey, or a mixture of ground nuts and fruits - such a sandwich was sacrificed.
The Danes have long been making sandwiches with smoked fish and fried onions. Swedes are also big lovers of such food, so they believe that sandwiches were invented by them. Whoever invents them, it is important that now this simple, at first glance, dish (for example, sandwiches with sprats and cucumbers) is the most popular in the world.
