Elokom cream - method of application

Eloc cream 0.1% is available in tubes and is intended for external use in case of inflammation of the skin. This drug has antiexudative, local anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effects.

The main active ingredient that is part of this drug is mometasone furoate, excipients - phosphoric acid, cetyl stearyl ether, titanium dioxide, stearic alcohol, white wax, aluminum octenyl succinate, which is obtained from starch, purified water and white petrolatum.

Eloc cream is prescribed in the presence of inflammatory reactions, as well as with the appearance of itching during dermatosis, if they respond to corticosteroids therapy. The penetration of this drug through the skin is negligible.

The use of this medication helps to induce the release of lipocortins, which control the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Inhibition of the release of their common precursor, which is arachidonic acid, occurs.

Elokom - instructions for use

At the moment, the effect of mometasone furoate on pregnant and lactating mothers has not been studied. Due to the fact that corticosteroids freely pass through the placental barrier, do not use Elokom cream for a long time, especially in large doses, as this can negatively affect the development of the fetus.

It should be noted that corticosteroids are excreted in milk, therefore, with prolonged treatment with this drug, you must abandon breastfeeding.
