Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya after graduation entered MGIMO. Worked at the State Radio and Television. After that, she made translations of works of art from French and English. The list of more than a dozen novels includes works by John de Carré, J. Steinbeck, Somerset Maugham, Sidney Sheldon and others. For a while she did not work. Catherine raised children and was engaged in housework.
Creative idea
At the TEFI Prize in 1998, the publisher Dmitry Biryukov and his wife Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya were invited. The biography of a woman, starting from this memorable day, has undergone significant changes. The ceremony was attended by many star artists, shining with their luxurious outfits.
Looking at celebrities, Catherine Rozhdestvenskaya noted that there is a certain similarity between some of them and the characters of famous paintings. Her creative idea was supported by her husband.
Professional work
Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya seriously took up photography in 1999. She published her first works in a magazine called the Caravan of Stories. She is currently the author of more than three thousand shots.
All of them were created for such projects as “Relatives” and “Tales”, “Private Collection” and “Vintage”, as well as “Associations”, “Classics” and “Still Life” and for many others.
"Private collection"
The photographer Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya has a kind of business card. She is her first and most voluminous project, called the "Private Collection". The main idea was to recreate paintings written by great artists of the past.
Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya, whose “Private Collection” was a great success, invited to become heroes of the filming of famous Russian stars of theater and TV, film and science, as well as sports. Since 2000, Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya has been submitting her works every month for publication in the magazine Caravan of Stories. The old canvases in this project sound in a new way, and the scenery and make-up help them in this. At the end of 2001, the “Private Collection” gathered photographs of more than two hundred famous people in the country and far beyond its borders.

As Catherine herself admitted, she built her first project on fantasies in the field of great works of art. The accuracy of make-up, costumes and scenery enlivened the works of artists. An important factor in the success of the work was the charm of the stars, which shocked them with their similarity to the originals and made us look at the story with some irony. Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya, whose work allowed creating complex and multifaceted images, revealed her contemporaries by drawing an analogy with personalities from the past. Elena Obraztsova and Vladimir Spivakov,
Inna Churikova and Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, Anatoly Karpov and Valentin Yudashkin,
Konstantin Khabensky, Joseph Kobzon and many other people known to us took part in this project.
Christmas Ekaterina Robertovna began to shoot star personalities in a way that no one had done before. She found the necessary props, visiting antique shops. Sometimes necessary things were bought abroad. The portraits made by the author are juicy, vibrant and spectacular. They are made in the format of large paintings. The works are printed on canvas. The top layer is varnish.
Relatives
Watching family albums is a favorite pastime of many people. Of particular interest are those images that capture several generations of the genus.
The project of Catherine Rozhdestvenskaya "Relatives" aroused great interest among the audience. She dressed the Menshovs in costumes worn at the beginning of the twentieth century. Presnyakov perfectly suited the image of a hippie. Zapashnye are captured by a photo artist in the arena of the Coliseum of Ancient Rome in the image of taming gladiators tigers. The family of Vladislav Tretyak looks great in French costumes of the early eighteenth century. There is a project in the Rodney project, which captures Artemy Troitsky with his wife, son and two daughters in the image of the Adams family. The photo is a counterweight to the dreary everyday life of modern society.
In all these works, there is a share of self-irony, as well as pride in their family, combined with respect for traditions. For many very busy members of the clan clans filmed by the author, participation in the project became an opportunity to stay close to their loved ones, and to do this in an unusual setting.
Men and women
The following project of a famous author is very popular with the audience. This is a series of photographs "Men and Women." Star actors from both Russian show business and foreigners wanted to participate in the project, because it is very tempting to transform for a while, appearing in front of the audience in a completely different guise, and then again being yourself.
Under this project, Nikolai Baskov, as well as Sergey Makovetsky and Sergey Zverev, were involved in the role of women. Male images were created by Irina Allegrova, Tina Kandelaki and Tamara Gverdtsiteli.
Kinodivy
Cinema stars of past decades, Catherine Rozhdestvenskaya dedicated her new project. She called him "Kinodivy." The collection of Catherine Rozhdestvenskaya includes images of great actresses who shone in the thirties and sixties of the twentieth century. Among them are Lyubov Orlova and Greta Garbo, Vera Kholodnaya and Audrey Hepburn, as well as Ada Gardner and Marlene Dietrich. These languid blondes, spectacular brunettes, as well as fatal red-haired beauties were objects to follow. Their style, makeup and hairstyles were copied by numerous fans.
In the Kinodiva project, famous Russian women “tried on” the images of movie stars of the past. Among them are Valeria and Elizabeth Boyarsky, as well as Kristina Orbakaite and Olga Drozdova, Olesya Sudzilovskaya and others. The work, done in black and white, allows viewers to see celebrities in very unusual angles. At the same time, they arouse the interest of the viewer in classical art, as well as in the history of costume and fashion.
Vintage
This project of the famous photo artist allows all viewers to plunge into the half-forgotten world of fashion for mothers and grandmothers. Admiring the magnificent work, each of us will travel to the recent past, considering models of skirts, coats and dresses, as well as hairstyles depicted on the canvases of models. Before the eyes of the viewer are fashionable directions of the forties and eighties of the last century. The photographs reflected the things that women pass from generation to generation, carefully take out from old chests and store, despite the transience of time.
History of Underwear
The entire twentieth century is covered in a new interesting project. Catherine Rozhdestvenskaya called it “The History of Underwear”. A special cut of natural amazing fabrics, laces yellowed from time to time - all this brings to the viewer memories and light sadness. For each work, Daria Dontsova wrote unique texts.
Pin-Lip Collection
As in the “History of Underwear”, this project demonstrates the piquant side of everyday life of the last century. All photographs are made in the style of posters of America, designed for men. They depict beautiful girls with a minimum of clothes, standing in seductive poses. All photographic works of the project bring real visual pleasure.
