Alloy Filigree Animation

"101 Dalmatians" (1961) - one of the best tapes of the Walt Disney studio. This is a unique alloy of bright characters, well-tuned animation, sparkling humor and an extraordinary plot structure. The plot of the cartoon is quite funny. The Dalmatian dog Pongo decides to unite the hearts of his master Roger and one worthy young lady Anita, who also has a Dalmatian favorite. Human heroes and their four-legged friends fell in love, and soon a couple of Dalmatians had wonderful puppies. They immediately became the object of lust for the greedy and cruel woman - Stervella De Ville, who wanted to get a fur coat from the wool of babies.

Characters

The presence of a character like Sterwell made the story of the cartoon quite stressful. The antagonist, who took after the release of the cartoon the top lines of the tabloid of the most terrible Disney villains, is a real flayer, ready for anything to achieve the goal. This is a fairly bright character, with an eloquent name, a decent emotional range and grotesque facial expressions. For the humorous component of the picture, the second-order characters are responsible: the textbook hooded thieves Horas and Jasper and Sergeant Tibs. The necessary atmosphere of the cartoon is also achieved through impeccably traced locations: London, shrouded in mystery, disposing to the serenity of the rural countryside, and Sturwell’s Macabre mansion. “101 Dalmatians” is a beautiful, truly kind and elegant animated film worthy of admiration.

volt cartoon

Four-legged superhero

“Volt” is a cartoon with a fairly simple plot. The charming dog Volt has been living in the world of television shows since childhood, he believes in the reality of what is happening around, not suspecting that all these are special effects. His confidence is dispersed when the dog, rushing to the rescue of the mistress, who, it seemed to him, had been stolen, enters the real world - beyond the borders of the television studio. This is where his real adventures begin, a charismatic hamster will accompany the hero through the wilds of reality. As a result, the dog not only adapts to the world of ordinary inhabitants, but also proves to everyone its viability. This is the plot of the picture "Volt" without spoiler. The cartoon was created very high quality, animation and graphics are almost flawless. Along with this, chases, explosions, and other special effects, which are richly rich in storytelling, are striking in their scope, the 3D effect enhances the viewing experience at times.

Cartoons of the era of the USSR

Soviet animation is famous for its masterpieces: they are not only necessarily instructive, but also infinitely kind, funny and colorful. Unlike foreign animation, very few films were shot in the USSR that would be equally interesting to both children and adults. But there are separate instances, which are still in demand, popular and existing outside the format of a certain age-specific audience. The clearest example is the cartoon "Once upon a time there was a Dog."

there was a dog

“I'll sing right now!”

The talented film director and scriptwriter Eduard Nazarov, who later shot the super popular animated modern series Masha and the Bear, created an animated short film based on the folk Ukrainian fairy tale Sirko. According to the plot, there was a Dog. He served his masters faithfully until he was old and was expelled from the yard. The unfortunate character went to the forest in order to settle accounts with a worthless life. But the intervention of the Wolf, as old and unhappy as the Dog, made significant adjustments to his plans. From this moment - a fateful meeting, and the perfectly shot and elegantly voiced life and dreary story begins. By the way, the Wolf eventually acquired symbolic significance for the Slavic mentality and soul, and became the national symbol of Soviet animation. His steel sculpture weighing about two tons was created according to the designs of Mikhail Ivashko and installed in Angarsk (Irkutsk region). Listing cartoons about dogs of the Soviet era, it is impossible not to mention this unique work of animation art.

smart dog Sonya

"Man is a friend of the dog"

“Bobik visiting Barbos” (1977) is another outstanding Soviet comedy animated film, the work of animated director Vladimir Popov and the creative union of playwrights scriptwriters Mikhail Libin and Nikolai Nosov. For the adult generation of viewers, this cartoon has touching nostalgic significance. It is very simple and even simple, but everything ingenious is simple. The plot tells about two prankish dogs Bobik and Barbos, who, taking advantage of the absence of the owner, have a real party with dances on jelly. It is difficult to imagine what devastation and chaos remains as a result of the place of a lovely cozy little house. This informative, funny and laconic cartoon teaches a small spectator behavioral skills not only in society, but also in private with himself. Behind the seemingly simple and uncomplicated plot lies a powerful, instructive moral message. It is worth recalling the soundtrack of the cartoon "Bobik Visiting Barbosa" - a philanthropic funny song "Man is a friend to a dog."

The Royal Poo

Clever Dog Sonya is a hand-drawn cartoon of the Ekran film studio, shot in 1991 based on the book by Andrey Usachev, consists of two issues. According to the general idea, combining both episodes, a very reasonable dog named Sonya lives in an apartment building with the owner Ivan Ivanovich Korolev, her nickname is due to her nickname “royal cur.” Despite the fact that Sonya is a very well-mannered and polite little dog, she manages to get into amazing and incredible stories with enviable frequency. She emerges from each situation with dignity, necessarily making a conclusion for the future. In each episode, everything is selected by the authors simply perfectly, starting from the voice acting of the characters and the timbre of the narrator’s voice and to the small nuances of the visual part.

The project was conceived by the creators as a children's developing mini-series, but only two episodes were released. This is due to a difficult period in the life of the country, in the 90s everyone was not up to didactic mini-series for kids. The first episode consists of miniatures: “Who made the puddle?”, “Hello, thank you and goodbye”, “Mustard”. The second is represented by short animated sketches: “Blur” and “Which is better?”.
