Ranetki is a special kind of small apple . Their color can be both green and bright red. Due to its size, these apples can be used in preservation as a whole. They look great in banks, have good taste. The main thing is to know how to make jam or compote from the ranetka.
Compote - simple and very tasty
In order to make a compote from the ranetka according to this recipe, you need to take one kilogram of fruit, one liter of water, 400 grams of sugar and a little vanilla. Ranetki have a sweet and sour taste, so they are great for conservation, creating unusual notes. We sort apples, removing damaged and overripe. The fruit stems are not completely cut off, leaving the third part. Now you need to take a toothpick and chop apples in several places. This procedure will keep the skin intact during cooking. Next, cook the syrup. Add sugar and vanilla to the water and boil. Meanwhile, we put apples in jars, leaving a little space on top (1 cm). Pour containers with hot syrup and sterilize. After that, tightly close the jars with lids, turn them over and leave to cool. Stewed compote for winter is cleaned in a cold place.
Ranetki and chokeberry
Such a compote from the ranetka and aronia will please not only with taste, but also with an insane riot of colors. Take 800 grams of apples, 200 grams of chokeberry and 300 grams of sugar (per three-liter jar). Rinse apples and chokeberry. We remove their tails and sepals. Now we put the fruits in jars, which are pre-washed and sterilized. Next, fill the tank with boiling water. They should stand until the air bubbles stop rising. For better preservation, you can drain this water and fill the cans with new boiling water and let stand for another 20 minutes. After this, pour the water into the pan and cook the syrup, adding sugar. Then this syrup should be filled with fruit jars and cork tightly. Wrap the compote from the ranet until it cools completely, and then move it to a cooler place.
Cook aromatic jam
Ranetki makes a very tasty and aromatic jam. Just as in compotes, we use whole fruits. It will take one kilogram of apples, one kilogram of sugar and a glass of water. Ranetki need to be washed, trimmed tails, leaving the third part, and pierce the skin in several places with a toothpick. After that, dip them in boiling water for 5 minutes. Syrup must be made from sugar and water. It is necessary that the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour the apples with the prepared syrup and cook together for about another 30 minutes. Next, turn off the fire and let the jam brew for about 2 hours. After that we serve it to the table. But if you need to prepare jam from the ranetki for the winter, then we lay it out in prepared jars immediately after the end of cooking.

You can also cook and jam. To do this, take a kilogram of apples, 500 grams of sugar and a glass of water. Cook apples in water for about an hour. Then we wipe them through a sieve.
