About the theater
Moscow Theater of Young Spectators (MTTYU) was opened in 1920. It was the very first intended for showing productions for children. At that time, the theater’s repertoire was limited; the Youth Theater was supposed to play only for children. For this reason, gifted actors and directors did not stay here for a long time. In 1987, the Moscow Theater of Young Spectators for the first time presented to the public a performance not for children. It was a “Dog Heart” according to M. Bulgakov. From this moment, a new era began in the life of the Youth Theater. The Moscow Theater of Young Spectators began to go on tour to other cities and even abroad. The troupe constantly takes part in various festivals and invariably receives awards.

Moscow Regional Youth Theater
The Moscow Theater of Young Spectators (Tsaritsyno) has existed since 1930. It used to be a branch of the Moscow Youth Theater, and today it has become an independent theater and is among the five best in the country. In Soviet times, he was the only mobile youth theater and served the agricultural areas of the Moscow region. Over the years of its existence, the Youth Theater has staged over 300 performances. The Moscow Regional Theater of Young Spectators offers the audience a multi-genre repertoire. Here are musical performances and productions created from classical and modern plays. Now the artistic director of the regional Youth Theater is the famous actress Nona Grishaeva.

The main premiere of the season in the regional Youth Theater
In the 2015 season, the Moscow Regional Theater of Young Spectators presented girls and boys with the musical performance “Lady Perfection”. This is a wonderful magical story on which several generations have grown. The performance used songs by M. Dunaevsky from the movie "Mary Poppins." But many do not know that far from all the musical material that the composer created for her came into the picture. Censorship of the Soviet Union did not miss all the songs. The theatrical production of the regional Youth Theater includes all compositions written by Maxim Dunaevsky. The director of the play is Mikhail Borisov, the head of the directing department at the famous Schukin School and Stage at GITIS. The role of Mary Poppins is performed by Nonna Grishaeva. The leadership of the Youth Theater decided to introduce this story into the repertoire for the reason that it is a good fairy tale, it has a lot of sincerity and warmth, which is so lacking in our life and in art.
The musical director of the performance “Lady Perfection” is Gelsat Shaydulova - professor of GITIS, composer. Her songs are in the repertoire of Larisa Dolina, Leo Leshchenko. She worked on music for the ice show of Ilya Averbukh, wrote many songs for children. She also collaborated with the famous composer Enio Morricone. Pavel Ivlev acted as a choreographer. He was engaged in Russian versions of the musicals Notre Dame de Paris, Cabaret, Romeo and Juliet. The scenery was created by artist S. Zohrabyan (Golden Mask laureate). The performance is impressive. It has everything: music, dancing, tricks, soap bubbles, flying, life-size puppets of huge sizes, live singing.
