Japanese cuisine, especially sushi and rolls, has flooded almost the entire planet, and perhaps its favorite pizza can be compared with its popularity. If our housewives have already learned how to cook pizza in all possible ways, then how many people do it remains a mystery. But it’s enough to try several times, and you can build yourself a Japanese dinner from time to time.

How to make roles at home, what is needed for this and how to bring them to perfection? In order to cook the rolls at home, you will need first of all special rice (sushi meshes). You can not do without a special tool - mats. The remaining ingredients should be chosen at your discretion - it can be fish, crab sticks or crab meat, caviar, cucumbers, soft cheese and much more.

How to make rolls if you don’t know how to cook rice? Learning to cook rice is not difficult at all, but you must keep in mind that properly cooked rice is the basis for rolls, so it’s important not to spoil it. To cook the “right” rice, you need to add a tablespoon of rice vinegar to it and not salt in any case. Cook rice for 20 minutes, then cool.

The next step is the preparation of the ingredients. Fish, cucumbers, crab sticks and everything you plan to use as a filling should be cut into thin long strips so that you can easily wrap it.

Now you can proceed directly to the process of “collecting” the roll. To do this, lay the mat and lay on it a sheet of Nori (special pressed seaweed for making rolls). Then we put rice on top of it. To put the rice well, hands should be moistened with a solution of rice vinegar and water. Gently smoothing the rice on the Nori surface, leave on one side an empty part of the sheet, about one centimeter in size.

Then, in the center of the long strip, lay out the filling, in any combination you like. Then slowly and tightly wrap all this splendor so that the mat remains empty. Moisten the end of Nori, which remained empty, with the above solution and, as it were, fasten the roll with it. This is necessary so that the roll does not fall apart. After wrapping a long roll, trim the excess around the edges. Then you can cut the roll into portioned pieces. After each cut piece, soak the knife in a solution of water and rice vinegar.

Having beautifully laid the rolls on a plate, serve them to the table with soy sauce, wasabi and ginger. For beginners, you can use more familiar forks instead of sticks.

One of the most popular is the Philadelphia roll, but how to make rolls at home so that the rice is on top? This is also not an easy question. To prepare the roll, you will need rice, salmon, cucumbers, nori, Philadelphia cheese (the main ingredient), as well as flying fish caviar for the "decor".

How to make sushi and rolls, namely rice for them, have already been told, here the process of making rice is the same. Cover the mat with cling film, then lay out a sheet of nori and rice. After this, carefully turn the sheet so that the rice is on the mat. On a nori leaf that appears on top, lay a “path” of cheese, next to it are thin long slices of cucumber, and on the other hand fish. Then twist the roller and tighten it. After that, roll a ready-made roll in flying fish caviar and carefully roll it again using the mat. The Philadelphia roll is ready, it remains to cut it into pieces and serve.

How to make sushi? Yes, in principle, it is exactly the same as rolls, since sushi is a common name for Japanese dishes based on rice with vinegar.
