Red mole - what is it?
There are many people who, during their lifetime, red moles of various sizes appear on the body. Most often they are considered only a cosmetic defect in the skin and do not pay attention to them. In medicine, these neoplasms are defined as hemingiomas. The inhabitants may confuse their visual manifestation with birthmarks. A lot of young children suffer from this lesion to varying degrees.
A red mole is considered a benign subcutaneous tumor. The reason for its manifestation is anomalies of arterial, venous and capillary vessels, leading to their proliferation. Thus, we can say that this type of pathology is a "ball" of blood vessels. Sometimes several tumors occupy a fairly large space (along the entire leg or arm). This disease is called hemangiomatosis.
A strong increase in hemangiomas can disrupt the activity of internal organs. For example, in the neck area - block the normal access of oxygen, and inside the auricle - damage the eardrum.
Many doctors do not pay enough attention to vascular moles . And this is wrong. Such a tumor contributes to thrombosis. As a result, a blood clot can be torn off and, as a result, various heart attacks and strokes.
In addition, sometimes under mechanical influence, tearing of hemangiomas and the appearance of bleeding is possible. In some cases, suppuration of the neoplasm is observed.
Causes and stimulants
The causes of the appearance of the red mole have not yet been determined. It is assumed that various pathologies of blood vessels is one of the conditions for the formation of a tumor.
But there are a number of factors that stimulate the development of this neoplasm:
- hormonal disruptions
- prolonged exposure to the sun
- taking vasodilator drugs and procedures,
- vaccination.
Types of hemangiomas
There are several types of hemangiomas:
- simple (capillary). Consists of dilated capillaries. It grows to the sides, most often has clear boundaries;
- cavernous (cavernous). Consists of cavities filled with blood. It has the appearance of a vascular node that rises above the surface;
- combined. The combination of simple and cavernous species;
- mixed. In addition to blood vessels, it includes cells of other tissues.
Hemangioma Treatment
If a red mole does not cause trouble, does not change its shape and color, then many experts recommend only observation. In cases of some change, removal of the neoplasm can be applied.
The most popular methods for getting rid of a vascular tumor are:
- sclerosis (chemical). The introduction of special substances into the tumor leads to vascular blockage. As a result, the disappearance of a mole. Apply with simple hemangiomas;
- laser removal of green and yellow spectral rays. The vessels are soldered. As a result, resorption of the pathology. Effectively with extensive and inaccessible lesions;
- cryodestruction (nitrogen freezing). The treated vessels become brittle and are destroyed. Used for small hemangiomas.
So that the red mole does not appear again, you need to adhere to certain recommendations. They are dictated by factors that stimulate the development of vascular tumors.
Now there is a lot of information on how to lighten a mole. Moreover, not all recipes are justified and verified by specialists. Knowing what a hemangioma is, we can conclude: in the case of a vascular tumor, independent action is fraught with consequences, and therefore unacceptable.
It must be remembered that without an accurate diagnosis, even a professional doctor will not prescribe a course of treatment.
