What hostess doesn’t want the dishes on her festive table to be not only tasty, but also very beautiful? To diversify your, for example, New Year's menu, cook stuffed tomatoes with cheese. This appetizer will be very popular among guests, and friends in the kitchen will certainly ask you to share the recipe. Moreover, this treat does not require any exotic ingredients, and is prepared quite easily.

Holiday recipe: stuffed tomatoes with cheese and breadcrumbs

For several servings you will need:

  • 2 large ripe tomatoes, dense, without dents or damage;
  • 30 g of hard cheese ;
  • 3 tbsp. tablespoons of crushed breadcrumbs;
  • olive oil, garlic and salt.

This French dish is also called Provence tomatoes, and it is prepared in this way: for the filling, mix breadcrumbs, chopped cheese, spices like Provencal herbs and olive oil. Squeezed garlic can also be added. Mix the mass thoroughly. Prepare large and strong tomatoes as follows: cut off the top (about a fifth of the tomato) and take out the pulp with a spoon. You should get a kind of bowls where you want to put the filling. Bake stuffed tomatoes with cheese and crackers in the oven for 15 minutes, or for the same time in the microwave. By the way, you can remove crackers from the filling and cook tomatoes stuffed with cheese and garlic. In this case, put grated cheese on the bottom of vegetables prepared by the above method, then a couple of onion rings and finely chopped garlic, and break an egg on top (take a small size so that the yolk does not leak over the edges of the vegetable). Season with salt and pepper and chopped herbs. Bake for 25 minutes in the oven (at 180 degrees). Tasty and unusual dish is ready.

Tomatoes Stuffed with Chicken and Cheese

This treat is already more satisfying, because together with Parmesan we add white meat to it. For several servings you will need:

  • 3-4 round or oval tomatoes with hard thick walls;
  • 200 g of boiled chicken;
  • 100 g of cheese, it is best to use a hard variety in such recipes, for example, Cheddar or Parmesan;

First, prepare the tomatoes: wash, remove the top and spoon out the pulp. In the resulting “bowl”, first put the chicken breast, cut into small pieces, after the mayonnaise mixed with aromatic spices, at the end cover with a generous layer of grated cheese. It is necessary to bake stuffed tomatoes (cheese and chicken) for 15 minutes at 200-230 degrees, then the cheese will be well browned and the vegetables will be covered with a stunningly beautiful crust. Top tomatoes can be sprinkled with herbs, or serve the dish on a large plate, which you need to cover with lettuce leaves. Be sure that such a treat will not refuse to try a single guest.
