The drug "Senade" is made on the basis of leaves of senna (cassia) Holly. This shrub belongs to the legume family and grows in Asia and Africa. The local population for centuries has used senna to cleanse the intestines: tea was brewed from its leaves, which was drunk at night. Less commonly used plant pods. Senna is currently cultivated in countries of Southeast and Central Asia, as well as in India and Pakistan.
Laxative "Senade" is available in the form of regular or chewable tablets and lozenges with different tastes. It contains substances that irritate the intestinal mucosa, as a result of which its motility increases and emptying occurs. Senade is usually taken at night, washed down with water. The initial dose for adults and children over 12 years old is 1 tablet, if necessary, it can be increased to 2-3 tablets per day. They act after 8-12 hours. The instructions for the drug say that it is not addictive. However, its prolonged and uncontrolled reception may lead to the fact that the Senate will be less effective. Typically, stool is normalized within a few days. However, even if this did not happen, a break should be taken after two weeks, replacing the Senad with another laxative if necessary.
The use of this drug is indicated for constipation of various etiologies, including chronic ones, caused by reduced tone and sluggish intestinal motility. It is also prescribed after childbirth and operations, when independent bowel movement is difficult. However, the instructions do not contain any information that you can use the drug "Senade" for weight loss.
Of course, the composition of most drugs that help get rid of excess weight includes various laxatives. However, in addition to this, slimming products contain substances that contribute to the normalization of metabolism and burning of body fat, suppressing appetite and removing excess fluid from the body. Taking laxatives alone, including the Senade, for weight loss will not give the desired effect. Of course, this drug can bring some benefit: the intestines will be cleaned of harmful deposits, peristalsis and, accordingly, stools will normalize. You may even be able to get rid of one or two kilograms of weight, taking the Senade for weight loss. But do not flatter yourself: their loss is achieved not due to fat deposits, but solely due to the cleansing of the intestine from its contents and loss due to the relaxation of a certain amount of fluid.
The instructions for the drug list possible side effects from its administration: pain in the intestines, which at times can be quite severe, flatulence (increased gas formation), nausea and vomiting. With prolonged use in the body, the water-electrolyte balance may be disturbed. In addition, individual hypersensitivity to this drug is possible, the result of which can be, for example, skin rashes. Senada is forbidden to take with spastic constipation, intestinal obstruction, chronic appendicitis, strangulated hernia, cystitis. During pregnancy and lactation, in the postoperative period, as well as children under six years of age, he is prescribed with caution. The drug effectively copes with constipation, making bowel movements regular. However, getting rid of extra pounds with it will be very problematic: it simply does not have such properties.
Given all of the above, taking the drug "Senade" for weight loss can hardly be considered appropriate. Along with other means, it can be used in the complex treatment of obesity, accompanied by prolonged constipation, but only as prescribed by the doctor.
