Allocholum is a combined choleretic drug, which contains various natural ingredients. In this, it compares favorably with many tablets, fully consisting of their synthetic, artificial substances. Due to this, its reception does not cause strong adverse reactions.
The dry bile present in its composition temporarily โreplacesโ the organic at various stages of the digestion process, thereby eliminating the signs of flatulence and gas formation, since no food remains rot. Allochol also stimulates the so-called secretory function in the liver, significantly enhancing the formation of bile and normalizing bile formation, increases the activity of the intestines and stomach, slows down the fermentation and decay processes that occur in the intestine, and also has a slight laxative effect.

One standard tablet of the drug contains:
Condensed animal bile - 0.08 g;
Thick nettle extract - 0.005 g;
Thick garlic extract - 0.042 g;
Activated carbon - 0.025 g;
Various auxiliary substances: talc, potato starch, magnesium oxide, calcium stearate, povidone, aerosil, titanium dioxide, magnesium carbonate, tropeolin 0 or tartrazine, liquid paraffin, sugar, beeswax - 0.21 g.
Form: 15 mg round yellow coated tablets. Standard packaging - 10, 50 pieces.
Allohol - application: indications
This drug is prescribed for various diseases of the biliary tract and liver, as well as for:
- Chronic cholangitis, cholecystitis, uncomplicated cholelithiasis, postcholecystectomy syndrome, intestinal hypotension, hepatitis.
- Chronic constipation associated with intestinal atony.
- For prevention after various operations on the gallbladder or liver.
- To prevent various exacerbations of gallstone disease and hepatocholecystitis.
It is possible to use the drug without a doctor's prescription for poor digestion, the appearance of bitterness in the mouth, severe pain in the right hypochondrium.
Allochol - application: dosage
Adults need to use the drug one or two tablets, after eating, three or four times a day. The course of treatment in this case is from three to four weeks. With various exacerbations - one tablet two or three times during the day for one to two months. If repeated therapy is required, the course can be repeated two to three times, taking breaks of three months.
Allohol for children under the age of seven is prescribed one tablet, two older than seven, three times a day. The course of treatment should be continued from three to four weeks. With exacerbations: up to seven years - half a tablet, after seven - one, two or three times a day.
Allohol - application: contraindications:
Liver dystrophy, acute hepatitis, individual intolerance to the constituents, calculous cholecystitis, acute pancreatitis, gastric ulcer, acute enterocolitis.
Allochol is not contraindicated during breastfeeding or during pregnancy, but a doctor must be consulted before taking the medicine.

Diarrhea, dyspepsia, various allergic reactions are possible.
Overdose
When taking a large amount of the drug, such manifestations as nausea, diarrhea, heartburn, and itching are possible. In this case, after consultation with the doctor, the volume can be reduced or the drug can be canceled.
