The pop-rock group "Beasts" has been successfully existing on the Russian stage for more than a decade, which is surprising at a time when the stars light up and go out almost daily. It all started with the fact that Roman Bilyk (Roma "The Beast", the lead singer of the group) realized that at the end of the Taganrog construction cottage he had few opportunities in his hometown, and left for Moscow with several hundred rubles in his pocket. Here he began work as a foreman, but fate decreed otherwise, bringing him together with producer A. Voitinsky.
After Roman wrote the first song, Alexander realized that the young man’s work has prospects, and they jointly presented musical material on MTV. Here he was noticed by the first fans, as well as the head of the record company Alexei Kozin. Roman Bilyk wrote his first songs in 2001, at the age of 24, and in 2002 the Beasts group was created.
What is the secret of this team, which invariably gathers halls and stadiums throughout the country? Perhaps in the sincerity of Roman’s work, in the fact that he removes and plays in all the videos himself, without hired actors, and gives all the best. Or maybe the fact that the songwriting style can be described as “like a soul”, that is, “The Beast” does not squeeze out either words or notes, but waits for the muse to “descend” on it. Then the song, he said, is born in five minutes.
The Beasts group was created in a rather original way for that time. Its composition was selected and fully staffed with the help of ads on the Internet. We can say that Roman was lucky with the team, since really talented people came to his call, with whom he worked for many years. For example, Maxim Leonov and Mikhail Kraev have been playing in the group since 2002-2003.
The Beasts group rarely releases their albums, but they are all long-playing. The song "Everything that concerns you", included in the first album of 2003, for example, is still popular. She entered the famous collection of "neighborhoods". In addition, the collective released albums: "Muses" (2011), "Next" (2008), "Hunger" (2003), "When we are together, no one is cooler" (2006).
In addition to music collections, the Beasts group released about eighteen videos, two of which were personally directed by Roman Bilyk. Many fans at the same time are pleased and upset by the sober look of the soloist of the team on creative opportunities. “The Beast” absolutely deliberately believes that sooner or later something new will appear and he will leave the stage, since he is going to work on it until they say about him: “He has songs about people like us” .
The Beasts group of 2013 is not much different from the one that it was in 2003 on a tour schedule. Today the team travels through concerts in thirty-six cities over a period of just over two months. And in 2004, despite the exceptional performance of the young guys, one of the rounds was canceled due to the depletion of the team leader.
Currently, Roman Bilyk has reached what he was striving for — wealth. Such a desire is not surprising for someone who grew up in a family with three children. However, he believes that he will have some new goals for which there are already earned funds. The artist still appreciates true friendship, so he has only two bosom friends. In life, he is laconic and may simply silently be next to the person he likes. He does not expose his personal life, so for a long time no one knew about his wife Marina and daughter Olga.
