Bake chicken breast in bacon

White meat of chicken breasts is a valuable protein product. However, not everyone likes chicken breast dishes, as meat is often dryish. To eliminate this disadvantage, you can try to cook such a delicious dish as chicken breasts in bacon.

We need one whole chicken breast - two slices of hard cheese and four to six slices of bacon, depending on size.

We remove the skin from the chicken breast and remove the so-called "large fillet" from the bones. In each fillet slice, we make a longitudinal section along the thickness of the layer to make a “pocket”. We put in the resulting "pocket" a slice of cheese and season the breasts. Pick spices to your taste. As a rule, curry seasoning is perfect for chicken, you can use any other spices.

Now we take thin slices of bacon (it is more convenient to buy this product in slices) and completely wrap the chicken slices with them. You can fix the bacon with toothpicks.

We put the breasts on a baking sheet (it is necessary to cover it with foil first) and bake our chicken breasts in bacon for about half an hour, putting the temperature regulator at two hundred degrees. Our dish is ready, you can serve it with any vegetable salad.

As a festive and original option, you can cook chicken breasts in bacon, stuffed with prunes and baked in sauce.

For one chicken breast (or two ready-made fillets) we need six prune berries, six slices of bacon, three tablespoons of ketchup (high quality!) And vegetable oil, one hundred and fifty grams of sour cream, one hundred grams of cheese and nuts (it is better to take walnuts).

We start to cook. Soak the prunes and cut into slices. Grind the nuts, and grate the cheese. We mix cheese, prunes and half the norm of sour cream.

In the breasts we make “pockets” and put there a teaspoon of cheese filling and slices of prunes. Now tightly wrap the fillet in slices of bacon and spread in a mold.

Now we make the sauce by mixing sour cream, ketchup and vegetable oil. Pour the chicken with this sauce and send the form to the oven, where we bake for about half an hour.

Using this recipe, chicken breasts in bacon can be cooked with a variety of fillings. For example, instead of prunes, take pickled plums or soaked lingonberries. Or stuff the breasts with slices of pineapple. And when preparing the sauce, you can use a variety of spices and replace sour cream with cream, excluding ketchup from the ingredients. You can use white sauce based on chicken stock for baking.

You can also cook chicken breasts with mushrooms, the recipe will be almost the same, except for the process of preparing the filling.

For the filling we take any mushrooms, you can use champignons, mushrooms, oyster mushrooms in a fresh, canned or fresh-frozen version. Do you have dry mushrooms? Great, they are great for preparing this dish.

We prepare the mushrooms: soak the dry ones and boil them, defrost freshly frozen ones, and drain the liquid from the canned ones. Grind the mushrooms and onion, cutting them into small pieces. Now fry the onion until soft, then add the mushrooms to it and continue to fry. For juiciness, you can add a little cream or sour cream to the mushroom filling.

While the mushrooms are fried, grate the cheese. Remove the pan with mushrooms from the fire and pour cheese into the hot filling, stirring so that it melts evenly.

Next, prepare the chicken breasts in bacon as described in previous recipes. That is, we make “pockets” in the fillet, stuff them with mushroom filling and wrap the slices of bacon. Bake in the oven just like that, or pour sauce.

We serve chicken baked in bacon with any side dish, but it’s best, of course, to use fresh vegetables.
