Auction group is popular among fans of Russian rock. Are you one of them too? Want to know how the team was created? What path to success did the participants make? Then we recommend reading the article from beginning to end.
History of creation
In 1978, in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), several talented musicians created a group. Her name changed several times. And only in the mid-80s, the guys chose the final version - “Auktsyon”. During this time, many good songs were written. It only remained to present them to the general public.
First steps on stage
In 1986, the rock band "Auktsyon" appeared in the program "Return to Sorrento." The guys performed several compositions. After that, all of Leningrad found out about them. Songs such as "She-Wolf", "Wonderful Evening" and "Book of Life Accounting" have become popular with young people.
Soon the group pleased their fans with the release of the concert album "D'Observer". Why did the record get such a strange name? Everything is very simple. This is just an abbreviation for “DK Pulkovo Observatory”. It was there that the band held a concert. Some of the songs from the first album were transferred to the second. The new disc was called "Everything is calm in Baghdad."
Career development
"AuktsYon" is a musical group whose songs abound in politically incorrect expressions. But this is precisely its highlight.
The guys performed not only in Russia, but also far beyond its borders. They often traveled to Germany, Italy and the USA. The album "How I became a traitor" was partially recorded at a studio in France. When listening to such compositions as “Lisa” and “My Evening”, you are mentally transported to Nevsky Prospect, slightly dusted with snow. And immediately you realize how much the musicians missed their homeland.
In 1990, the Auction group presented its new work to the audience, the album “Ass”. However, the record went on sale with a more politically correct name - “Hollow”. The song of the “AuktsYon” group “Airplane” almost became the anthem of Soviet youth.
Conquering new peaks
In 1991, our heroes recorded the album "Bodun." After the release of this record, a new wave of popularity hit the group. The guys worked not only on the quality of music, but also on the semantic load of the texts. Listening to Victory Day, it is impossible to stand still. Feet themselves throw you up in the air. Tears of joy and pride appear on the face for the great country that defeated fascism. The album also presents the song, which was essentially perfect in its essence - “Winter”. And the composition “Fa-fa” is already crazy from the first notes (in the good sense of the word). Fans of the group praised the amazing music and well-chosen texts.
In 1992, the team began to collaborate with the legendary Alexei Khvostenko. He is the author of the song "City of Golden". This composition was brilliantly performed by Boris Grebenshchikov. What did the “Auctions” get? St. Petersburg musicians recorded the "Teapot of wine." When listening to this song, there is a feeling that it was created by one of the participants of “Auction”. But this is not so. The text belongs to A. Khvostenko. St. Petersburg musicians not in vain chose him as a companion. After all, they are close to the creativity of this person.
The album “Bird”, released in 1993, completely turned public opinion about our heroes. If earlier the Auction group was guided by a narrow circle of listeners, now everything has changed. Songs such as "Road", "It is not too late" and "My Love" can be appreciated by people of different age categories and musical passions.
For almost two years, the team was in a creative crisis. There was a lack of literate texts with deep meaning. The difficult situation in the country also made itself felt. The situation was saved by the acquaintance of Leonid Fedorov with the poetry of V. Khlebnikov.
With the album “Dweller of the Peaks” (1995), the group gained even more fans. It is impossible to single out specific songs. Indeed, in this case, they are perceived as something single, indivisible.
In subsequent years, the team continued to record albums, perform at major venues in Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as touring European countries.
