Apizartron is a combined drug based on a natural ingredient - bee venom, which is used for topical use, has anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxant, vasodilating, and locally irritating effects.

The ointment has a homogeneous consistency of a white or yellowish tint with the smell of methyl salicylate. Under the influence of the Apizartron preparation - the instruction confirms this - local blood flow improves, muscle tone and elasticity increase, anti-inflammatory effect occurs, metabolism is activated, pain syndrome decreases. Thus, the tool, providing a local irritant effect, stimulates peripheral nerve endings. And the ointment begins to act literally a few minutes after application.

Indications for the use of the drug "Apizartron" - the instructions describe this, are the following diseases:

  • pain with sprains, bruises, damage to ligaments, tendons, muscles;
  • pain with localization in the lower back;
  • neuralgia;
  • muscle discomfort (myalgia);
  • joint pain (arthralgia);
  • diseases of the musculoskeletal system (rheumatism of soft tissues, osteoarthrosis).

Apply the ointment externally, applying a strip of the drug (from 3 to 5 cm) on the sore spot and then, evenly distributing it over the skin, achieving a layer thickness of approximately 1 mm. A feeling of warmth and redness usually appears two to three minutes after applying the product. Then, intensively, but slowly rub the ointment into the skin, after which the treated areas are wrapped with a warm cloth for greater therapeutic effect. The course of treatment lasts until the complete disappearance of painful symptoms, on average 10 days, during which, two to three times a day, it is necessary to rub the drug into painful places.

With special caution, Apizartron ointment is used - the instruction warns - in case of renal failure. In this case, it is not allowed to use the drug on large surfaces for an extended period of time. In addition, it is forbidden to apply the product on irritated and damaged skin. When using the ointment, it is necessary to avoid getting the drug on open wounds, mucous membranes of the body, in the eyes. After contact with the drug, wash your hands thoroughly under running water with soap.

Like any medicine, Apizartron ointment warns you, in no case is it allowed to use after the expiration date indicated on the package (it is three years). Store the drug in a dry, dark place with a temperature of no higher than 25 ° C. It contains 3 mg of standardized bee venom, 1 g of mustard oil (allyl isothiocyanate) and 10 g of methyl salicylate.

Contraindications to the use of the drug "Apizartron" (ointment) - the instruction lists the following conditions:

  • infectious diseases;
  • lactation and pregnancy;
  • inhibition of bone marrow hematopoiesis;
  • allergic manifestations to the components of the drug;
  • arthritis in the acute phase of remission;
  • skin diseases;
  • neoplasms;
  • chronic renal failure.
