Genres
Each channel includes in its broadcasting network the talk show that corresponds to its direction. Depending on the genre of broadcast, the airtime will vary, since it is focused on a certain circle of viewers.
If the programs are classified by subject, then the following genres can be distinguished:
- Psychological . The personal lives of the heroes are discussed. Fans of such programs are mainly women, housewives, therefore, show such programs in the afternoon or evening.
- Narrowly targeted . The topics of such programs are health, cooking, fashion, parenting, etc. Programs with such topics are shown in the morning or afternoon.
- Scandalous . The themes of such programs are similar to psychological ones, but the intensity of passions in the studio is much higher. The script is written in such a way as to provoke heroes, intrigue and shock the audience, and all this, simulating a live broadcast. Often fights happen on the set, which only fuels the interest of the audience. Broadcasts are broadcast in the evening.
- Mixed . Here the topic can be from any field, but most often it is an event or a public issue significant at the time of publication. Talk shows of this genre are aired in the afternoon, evening or on weekends.
Political . The guests of the studio are famous politicians, viewers are often also political figures. In the course of the transfer, a political issue is being discussed. Or the characters and guests are divided into several groups, during the transfer they exchange opinions on a given topic and defend their position, presenting facts, arguments, asking questions to opponents. You can watch political talk shows late in the evening or on a day off.
The four main components of talk shows
What is a talk show for viewers? This is an opportunity to look at the problem from different angles, to find out the opinions of different people, to formulate your attitude to the issue and just relax by the TV. What affects the success of a "talk" show:
- Leading. The main role is played by the person directing the course of the conversation. He should be erudite, charming, attentive, have a sense of humor and oratory skills. The more famous the lead in the audience, the better for the transfer.
- Theme. For each issue, an interesting, resonant, shocking or relevant topic should be selected in order to “hook” and keep the viewer's attention. The script of the show is prepared in advance, although it includes elements of improvisation.
- Invited heroes play a large role. It happens that the heroes of the program are simple, unknown to people from the people. But often the theme of the program is “twisted” around a famous person or several famous and significant people. In scandalous and psychological talk shows, they often resort to the services of fake actors. Producers rely on the entertainment and emotionality of the release.
- The role of guests and experts can also be played by ordinary viewers, as well as movie stars, pop artists, politicians or professionals in certain areas. Although it happens that viewers are not given the floor, their mission is to create an atmosphere: laughter and applause.
