For five years, the Russian rap group Grotto has been delighting listeners with its original lyrics. It differs in many ways from most representatives of this direction. Performers do not praise a rampant life full of drugs and alcohol buzz. In their songs you can hear only a positive attitude. They call for a healthy lifestyle, getting rid of bad habits. They call everyone to peace, mutual respect, love for one's neighbor and mutual assistance. Their songs are something that you can safely give to listen to the younger generation.
Creature
The Grotto Group was established in 2009 in the city of Omsk. It consists of two: Dmitry Gerashchenko and Vitaly Evseev. Young people at that time were still students and did not think too much about fame. Aliases were not invented. The name of the group was taken from a regular dictionary. The guys liked this word. Ideas for writing lyrics to songs came easily. The band members grew up during the collapse of the great USSR. It was a difficult time, full of chaos, confusion. Teenagers organized gangs, smoked, used drugs, cared little for themselves, their loved ones and the future. The experience gained in childhood and adolescence, strong negative emotions as if they themselves dictate the musicians lines to new songs.
Climbing
The first mini-album was released in 2009 with the direct support of Andrei Pozdnukhov, better known under the pseudonym Poor. The presentation took place in May of that year and was a huge success. After that, the Grotto group became a part of the creative association Ambush Production. In the winter of 2010, the second album, entitled “Resistance Force”, was released, and a few months later the album “Ambush. Spring for everyone! ” By this moment, the musicians have finally determined their life path, prioritized. In April 2010, the album "The Executors of Fates" was released. In October, two large concerts took place in Moscow and St. Petersburg under the name Ambush. The arbiters of fate. " After that, the creative association broke up. The musicians continued on their own.
Self swimming
The first album, which the Grotto group released after the breakup of the band, was "Tomorrow." Their next brainchild was a large collection of songs, “On the Path of the Oncoming Road”. It was written for a long time. The recording was attended by many famous artists. The result exceeded expectations, raising the group to a new level. The changes for the better in society have always inspired the guys. In 2012, a new album, “More Than Alive,” is released. In the autumn of the same year, fans of the group saw a collection of “Domestic Heroism”. In September 2013, the Grotto group, whose albums have been successfully sold, releases their new creation, The Brothers by Default. May 3, 2013 was the anniversary of the team.
"Who does not take risks, he takes even more risks"
The story might not have been so successful for the Grotto musical group. Photos of the group show us strong and courageous young guys. But not all decisions were given to them simply. According to the participants themselves, it was incredibly difficult for them to decide to change their life. A couple of weeks after the release of the first album, the musicians received an invitation to perform in Moscow. After much and painful deliberation, they decided not to go. There were many reasons: lack of money, fear of failure and no faith in one's own strength. However, the very next day they decided to take a chance. Even sitting on the train, half way, they doubted the correctness of their decision. To say that the concert went well is to say nothing. The listeners were absolutely delighted, and the musicians experienced incredible happiness. They reproached themselves only for doubting their abilities. Today, musicians in their songs urge young people to be honest, open, fight for their rights, respect their parents and love life.
