Medication "Ambrobene" is a mucolytic agent. The medicine has a secretomotor bronchosecretolytic effect. The drug helps to normalize impaired secretion of the bronchi and lungs, reduces the viscosity of sputum, improves its rheological parameters, facilitates and accelerates discharge. When taken orally, almost complete absorption from the digestive system is noted. The therapeutic effect begins in half an hour and lasts for six to twelve hours. The decay process occurs in the cells of the liver. About 90% of the drug is excreted in the urine. The active ingredient is ambroxol hydrochloride.

Tablets for patients from the age of twelve are prescribed 1 pc. three times a day for the first two days, then the frequency of administration is reduced to two times a day or the dosage is 1/2 tab (frequency of administration is 3 r / day). Children under 12 years of age are prescribed 0.5 tab 2-3 r / day. The medicine is drunk after a meal. The tool "Ambrobene" (capsules), the instruction recommends to patients from 12 years of 1 pc. everyday. The solution for inhalation and oral administration is dosed using a measuring cup. Inside, the Ambroben instruction recommends taking the drug 4 ml 3 r / d in the first two to three days, after - 4 ml twice or 2 ml three times a day. Dosage for children under 2 years old - 1 ml 2 r / d, up to 5 - in the same dosage 3 r / day, up to 12 years - two milliliters no more than 3 times / day. Inhalations are carried out using a special device.
It is recommended that patients from five years old take 1-2 procedures per day using 2-3 ml of solution, up to five years - 1-2 inhalations of 2 ml each. In a suspended form, the drug is prescribed to adults in the first 3 days, 10 ml three times / day, then 10 ml twice or 5 ml three times a day. For children from 5 to 12 years old, the Ambrobena instruction recommends prescribing a medicine of five milliliters 2-3 r / d. The duration of admission is set according to the severity of the symptoms.
Contraindications
The instruction "Ambrobena" contains information that the medicine is not prescribed for ulcerative lesions in the digestive tract, hypersensitivity, during pregnancy. The drug in suspended form is not recommended for patients with fructose intolerance. Contraindications include lactation. Capsules are not recommended for patients under 12 years of age. Children's therapy should be monitored by a physician. Tablets are not prescribed for patients under six years of age.
