Female rock in Russia has always been distinguished by some special charm and originality. The popular Russian singer Masha Makarova broke into the world of the metropolitan rock party in the dashing 90s, immediately captivating everyone with her recklessness, wild temper and, of course, Lyubochka. Indeed, no one expected such an absurd combination as rock music and Agnia Barto.
However, Lyubochka is not the only circumstance that has attracted close public attention.
The birth of a star
In September 1977, the future star Masha Makarova was born in sunny Krasnodar. Her biography could have developed in a completely different way, if the girl had not been so purposeful and talented. Creativity began to absorb Masha in early childhood. In her native Krasnodar, she managed to become famous long before the founding of the Masha and the Bears star group. The young radio host managed to prove herself in the local rock groups “Drynk” and “Makar Dubai”.
And when the opportunity presented itself to meet with the leader of the famous Megapolis group, the talented journalist of Krasnodar Radio already had a cassette with his works. Oleg Nesterov discerned the prospect of a young talent and was not mistaken, agreeing to produce it.
Already in 1996, Masha Makarova moved to Moscow, where her career as a singer began. The idea of creating the Masha and the Bears group came to Oleg Nesterov’s head . Tight work began on the release of the first disc. Who knows, what would have happened to the fate of unknown musicians, if it had not been for the chance that the born "Lyubochka", which later became their calling card.
First impression
The outrageous company of shaved bald young people led by ataman Masha appeared in the debut video, shot in 1998, in India. Even the only girl in the group, Masha Makarova, was bald. Photo bald company flew all the fashion magazines. As it turned out later, the hair was not shaved at all in order to shock the public. It was a spontaneous idea that arose under the influence of Indian Buddhists: the ritual of letting hair through the waters of the Ganges is quite popular and, according to Buddhist concepts, means a change of karma. However, it didn’t matter anymore, the effect was amazing, and Masha Makarova with her “Bears” sounded at all the radio stations of the country.
Already in the summer of that year, the first album of the group "Masha and the Bears" - Solntsekles - was released. The songs of the album did not look like the hyped "Lyubochka", and yet some of them managed to get into the charts. The most famous were Reykjavik, Without You.
It was a bright period of frantic take-off, and according to the magazine Om, the rock band Masha and the Bears was recognized as a breakthrough in 1998.
Creative crisis and rebirth
Bright debut was a real test for Masha. When she realized that she began to depend on the imperfect laws of show business, she suddenly wanted to quit everything, which she did. In 2000, Masha Makarova officially announced the breakup of the group and went in search of her style.
The last year before the breakup was especially difficult for the singer. She strongly protested against the conventions imposed on her, refused to speak, did not agree to participate in propaganda campaigns. Masha’s depressive mood was reflected in the 1999 album “Where To?”. One of the most famous hits in this album "Earth" was included in the number of soundtracks for the sensational film "Brother 2". At the same time, the singer divorced her first husband.
Such a reassessment of values has benefited the talented rock star. Having taken a break, in 2004 Masha reunited with the Bears, and they continue their career to this day.
A family
The first experience of creating a singer’s family can hardly be called successful. Masha met her first husband Andrei Repeshko while still a schoolgirl. An early marriage led to the fact that the twenty-two-year-old singer had already acquired the status of "divorcee". Despite this, the father of her first daughters, twins Rosa and Mira, born in 2005, was Repeshko. But even this joyful event could not bring the former spouses together. The father of the third child of Damir in 2010 was the common-law husband of Masha Alexander.
Masha Makarova gave birth to all her children at home, proving that nothing prevents a healthy woman from doing without hospitalization. Motherhood made Masha truly happy and filled all the missing puzzles in her soul.
Currently, the group "Masha and the Bears" successfully continues the concert activity. The repertoire of the group, of course, is somewhat different from the creative research of the nineties. Lyrics and manner of performance of Masha became more meaningful and deep, and the group now attracts fans with more mature thoughts and ideas that are far from shocking.
