After the legendary Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple, he founded his own band Rainbow. It happened in 1975, when he was joined by Ronnie James Dio and the musicians from the Elf team. However, initially the audience did not take the new group seriously enough, deciding that this was only an alternative to Brightly Purple. Nevertheless, the Rainbow group is known all over the world, and it is worth a lot. And Ronnie James Dio made a huge contribution to the development of heavy music, so the team deserves attention.
Biography
The Rainbow group is an Anglo-American collective founded in 75 of the previous century. Richie Blackmore assembled the team, and Ronnie James Dio adorned him with his outstanding high voice.
By the way, the composition has repeatedly changed, and each of the eight vinyls released before 1983 was recorded with different participants. With the collapse of Deep Purple, the group was supplemented by bassist Roger Glover, so it is not surprising that Perlov’s motifs sounded at concerts.
April 84th brought the Rainbow group an unexpected collapse associated with the departure of Glover and Blackmore himself in Deep Purple, who rose from the ashes. Ten years later, Ritchie gave the Rainbow a second life, but the return of the team did not produce the expected furor. In '97 they decided to “take a break”, which actually turned out to be a solid point in the work of Rainbow.
Direction
Since the founding of the group, the style has undergone repeated changes. Apparently, such factors as the change of participants, new musical trends and Blackmore's ideas for improving the sound affected. However, the basis of creativity was hard rock.
The first released vinyl was melodious, it was in tune with the music of "Elves" and "Perplov." However, in the future, the sound sharply became heavier, and the texts were filled with themes of the fantasy genre, as you can see, the influence of Dio affected. After his departure, the style was greatly simplified, acquiring a commercial look. In the mid-90s, the group combined in their work the styles of hard rock and heavy metal, but the collapse could not be avoided. Over the entire existence of the collective, 11 albums of the Rainbow group were released.
