The greatest success was achieved in the 80s by "Dire Straits", who performed blues-rock compositions with jazz elements. The musicians of "Depeche Mode" created their own unique style in the electronic rock music genre. In the mid-eighties, the "Irish invasion" begins. Dublin 80s rock bands led by "U2" bring their style to the performance of post-punk by adding echoes of Irish ballads. In these years, rock music seems to be divided into two directions: there is just rock, and there is hard rock.
