Pumpkin is not only a delicious dish, but also very useful. That is why I wanted to introduce some good recipes for its preparation. It should be noted that pumpkin dishes are prepared quite quickly and do not require special skills and knowledge in cooking.
Pumpkin stewed with carrots with turmeric and pomegranate
For cooking you will need:
- pumpkin - 0.6 kg;
- carrots - a few pieces;
- couscous - 2 glasses;
- boiling water - 4 glasses;
- pomegranate - half a glass of grains;
- salt;
- bay leaves, peppercorns, dried dill, olive oil, turmeric.
Initially, you need to peel the pumpkin and cut it into cubes. Then fry a little with carrots in olive oil and pour water so that the liquid covers the vegetables. Then add the bay leaf, salt, pepper and simmer until completely cooked. Meanwhile, pour couscous with boiling water, sprinkle with salt, pepper and add a little turmeric. Now cover and let it brew until the water is completely absorbed. When the couscous is cooked, it is necessary to add olive oil to it and mix. Couscous is laid out in a pyramid, put the stewed pumpkin with carrots on top and sprinkle with dill. The dish is served warm.
Pumpkin stew with carrots
- pumpkin - 1 small piece;
- carrots - 4-5 pieces;
- tomato paste - 3 tablespoons;
- olive oil.
First you need to pass the chopped carrots into a frying pan in a frying pan, and then put everything into a slow cooker. Then in the same frying pan, pass the onion chopped to a golden crust and also put in a slow cooker. Now peel the pumpkin from seeds and peel and cut it into cubes. After that, send also to the slow cooker. Sprinkle all the vegetables with spices, dill, parsley, basil, ground pepper, salt and add tomato paste. Mix everything well and add a little water. We put on the quenching mode for an hour and a half. Then we let it brew in heating mode for another half hour.
Cooking pumpkin with grits
Ingredients:
- pumpkin - 240 g;
- salt;
- groats - 60 g;
- butter;
- milk - 120 g;
- water - 170 ml;
- sugar syrup - 20 g.
The pumpkin must be washed and peeled, then cut into slices, then pour boiling water and add sugar syrup into it. Now simmer for half an hour. Then pour the cereal to the pumpkin (you can take millet, semolina, rice). Now pour the milk hot and simmer for another 38 minutes. Pour in salt, add butter and bring to a boil. Delicious, healthy and nutritious stewed pumpkin is ready!
Chicken Stew
Products for cooking:
- pumpkin - half;
- chicken legs - 270 g;
- onion - 2 pieces;
- sugar - 1 teaspoon;
- vegetable oil;
- rice vodka - 1 tablespoon;
- soy sauce.
Pumpkin must be cut into slices without peeling. Onion slices too. Marinate chicken legs in rice vodka for 18 minutes. Then add soy sauce, sugar, water and stew in the cooked marinade. Now fry the onions in a frying pan in oil, add pumpkin, salt, water to it and simmer until fully cooked. Now put the stewed chicken to the pumpkin and mix. Garnish with chopped greens on top. It turns out pumpkin with chicken is very fragrant and tasty.
Brazilian Braised Pumpkin
- pumpkin - 0.6 kg;
- butter - 2 tablespoons of st .;
- garlic - a pair of cloves;
- green onion;
- salt pepper.
Peel the pumpkin, seeds and cut into cubes. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Put pumpkin, garlic, butter, onions in a stewpan and simmer on low heat for about 12 minutes. Then reduce the heat and simmer under the lid until the pumpkin is cooked. Then add pepper and salt. Serve hot.
Hungarian pumpkin stewed with vegetables and bacon
Products for cooking:
- pumpkin - 1.2 kg;
- bell pepper - 2 pieces;
- pork fat - 120 g;
- onion - 1 piece;
- meat broth - 1 glass;
- sour cream - 1 glass;
- flour - 2 tablespoons;
- dry dill - 3 tablespoons;
- salt.
Initially, it is necessary to chop the lard and fry a little in a pan along with chopped onions, until a golden crust forms. Peel the pumpkin, cut into small cubes. Cut the pepper into strips and add it along with the pumpkin to the fried fat. Pour in the broth, add salt and simmer until tender. Then pour in flour and put out a little more. When serving, sour cream and greens are added to the dish.
