Milk soup with dumplings is a familiar taste of childhood, which is quite simple to cook on your own. This will require only a few ingredients and a little effort. Consider several variations of the soup with classic dumplings, potato, and with the addition of cauliflower.
Classic recipe
For the preparation of milk soup with dumplings according to the classic recipe, we need the following ingredients:
- milk - 0.55 l;
- egg;
- wheat flour - 90-100 g;
- butter - 20 g;
- sugar to taste.
Proceed to cooking. According to the recipe for milk soup with dumplings, first of all, pour the flour into a deep container, add salt to taste. Separately break the egg and beat with a whisk. According to the recipe, we will need the following ingredients:
- milk - 3 tbsp .;
- butter - 20 g;
- flour - 4 tsp;
- peeled potatoes - 2 pcs.;
- water - by eye;
- egg - 1-2 pcs.
On average, cooking soup takes 30 minutes. Rub the raw potatoes on a fine grater. We strain the excess liquid with gauze or a sieve. Separate the sediment and juice. The resulting starch will come in handy later on, add it to the potatoes again, as well as the egg and salt. Mix everything thoroughly. After slowly falling asleep flour, not ceasing to beat the potatoes. You should get a medium density mass.
We put milk on the fire. Add water. Bring to a boil. At the same time, we form dumplings of small diameter and put them in a boiling pan. Consider a relatively new and fairly original recipe for milk soup. Namely, milk soup with dumplings and cauliflower. We will need the following products:
- cauliflower - 300 g;
- milk - 400 ml;
- egg - 1 pc.;
- wheat flour - 100 g;
- butter - 20 g;
- salt is added to taste.
In general, the preparation of the soup does not differ from the options already described above. First of all, you should knead the dough from flour, eggs and melted butter. Let it brew for 15 minutes. Then form small dumplings. They must first be boiled separately in salted boiling water.
After we put the milk on the fire. Dilute in half with water. Add sugar and optionally salt. We omit the cauliflower, you can put the whole inflorescences or chop. Add the butter. Cook the resulting mixture for about 15-20 minutes. and only after that we add ready-made dumplings. Continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes. The soup is ready!
Add vegetables
In fact, milk soup with dumplings can be prepared not only with the addition of cauliflower, but also with cubes of potatoes, carrots and other products. The only rule to follow is the compatibility of vegetables with milk. Everything else depends only on the hostess's fantasy range.
