More than one generation of children has grown up in the stories of the adventures of the pretty Kuzi little house. Who created this character and how was the first cartoon about the "hereditary" house Kuzma filmed?
Who invented the Kuzyu Brownie
The birthday of the fabulous Kuzma brownie - 10/10/1972. Who invented the Kuzyu Domovenka? The “mother” of the favorite children's character is the Soviet writer Tatyana Alexandrova, and since Alexandrova was also a multiplier, she not only created a literary hero, but also immediately painted it.
Her nanny pushed the idea of creating such an unusual children's fairy-tale character to little Tanya. The fact is that Tatyana Alexandrova was born in the Moscow family of an engineer and a doctor. She had a twin sister - Natasha. Parents, in view of employment, did not have the opportunity to babysit their girls, so Tanya and Natasha had a personal nanny - Matryona. Matryona was a simple woman, from the Volga peasants, she constantly told the girls stories from Russian folklore: about witches, goblin, house-mates, grandmothers, hedgehogs. These folk motifs subsequently formed not only the cycle of stories about Kuzenka’s little house, but also Tatyana Alexandrova’s collection “Tales of an Old Rag Doll”.
The story “Kuzka in a new house” was first published in 1975. Tatyana drew several illustrations for the book, but they were not allowed to print because she was not a member of the Union of Artists. It was in the 75th that the Soviet Union first learned who invented the Kuzyu Domovenka. But the next two books about the magic brownie had to be published by the writer’s husband, Valentin Berestov, because Alexandrova died in 1983.
Who is Kuzya Brownie
According to the plot of the book and the cartoon, Kuzya (or Kuzma) is a hereditary brownie, whose age is only seven centuries. Such a character as a “brownie” has been characteristic of Russian folk mythology for centuries. The Slavs called home spirit, which kept order, protected their home from all troubles and hardships. Kuzya’s housekeeper - kind and economic - a fairy-tale character who is created in the best traditions of folklore.
The story of the first cartoon
The first adventure of the Domino Kuzka in the form of an animated puppet film was released in 1984 and was called "House for Kuzka". This funny story, which won the hearts of not only children but also adults, lasted 17 minutes.
After the death of Tatyana Alexandrova, the TV / Screen Ekater turned to her husband, poet and writer Valentin Berestov, with a proposal to participate in writing a script for the animated film based on the novel Kuzka in a New Apartment. Berestov, of course, agreed - so the story of the creation of the cartoon began. Kuzya’s house-boy began to flicker on television the very next year, and the “Ekran” TV company decided to release three more films based on the books of Alexandrova.

In 1985, the animated film "The Adventures of the Domestic" was created, the script for which was also developed by Berestov, and in 1986 - "A Tale for Natasha." The last film from the cycle was the animated film in 1987 - "The Return of the Domestic". The last two films about Kuzenka lasted only 10 minutes. It is also worth noting that the last three films have little in common with the original texts of the stories of Alexandrova - the film crew considered the display of the original plot too complicated for the children, so the script team, to which Marina Vishnevetskaya was added, practically wrote the story anew. Perhaps this was the reason that the first film about the house Kuzma is more popular than the last three. Still, the author’s word should remain primary.
Cartoon crew
The charming hereditary brownie Kuzma has become more popular than its creators: not every viewer knows who wrote the children's book “Kuzya’s Little House”, and even more so the names of people who worked on the cartoon.
The project was directed by Aida Zyablikova, who was famous for her passion for multi-part films: the vast majority of her cartoons appeared in two or more parts (“Koloboks are investigating”, “Once upon a time Saushkin”, etc.)
Gennady Smolyanov, the art director of the cycle, included in his arsenal work on the animated films “The Wizard of the Emerald City”, “The Adventures of Dunno and His Friends”.
The dominant Kuzyu was voiced by the famous Soviet actor Georgy Vitsin, and the colorful Baba Yaga by Tatyana Peltzer.
Thanks to books by Aleksandrova and talented animated films, Domovoy Kuzma became a real national hero. Therefore, the audience doesn’t care who invented the Kuzyu Domenko - they continue to watch with emotion the good old cartoons and quote favorite characters.
