A born Siberian, Margarita moved to Tashkent with her parents in childhood. At school, the girl studied perfectly and after graduation received a gold medal. Then there were two long student years at Tashkent University, at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. The role was twofold: Terekhova was to play mother Mary - the image is largely symbolic - and the wife of the main character of the film - Natalia. Margarita brought her vision of the plot into the picture, made Tarkovsky several proposals that he accepted. A grateful atmosphere reigned on the set of “Mirror”, each shooting day was riddled with complete mutual understanding, everyone worked tirelessly in anticipation of amazing results. And they happened, the film "Mirror" made a splash as soon as it was released.
In 1966, changes took place in the personal life of the actress, and the biography of Margarita Terekhova received several new pages. A popular artist met with Bulgarian singer Savva Khashimov, who was married at that time. But you can’t order the heart: young people began to live together, their daughter was born.
