  • sweet white onion - 2 heads;
  • potatoes - 4 pcs.;
  • big fresh carrots - 1 pc.;
  • fat cream - 40 ml;
  • refined olive or sunflower oil - 6-7 large spoons (for frying);
  • fresh dill and parsley - medium bunch;
  • green onion arrows - 3 stalks;
  • Small sea salt, bay leaves, allspice - add to the dish at your own discretion.

Cod ear, like any other soup, involves the use of not only a fish product, but also various vegetables. However, before proceeding with their direct heat treatment, these ingredients need to be well prepared. To do this, peel carrots, potatoes and onions. Next, the last two components must be chopped into cubes. As for carrots, it is advisable to grate it on a coarse grater. It is also recommended to rinse dill, parsley and leek in cold water , and then chop them with a knife.

The process of stewing vegetables

In order to make the cod ear as tasty and aromatic as possible, carrots and onions are recommended not just to be added to the broth, but previously fried in olive or sunflower oil. To do this, vegetable oil must be poured into a pan, and then heat and pour previously processed vegetables. They should be cooked until they turn golden. At the same time, it is recommended to additionally flavor the ingredients with allspice and sea โ€‹โ€‹salt.

Heat treatment of the whole dish

Such a dish is prepared quite quickly and easily. To do this, you need to take a large pan, fill it with ordinary drinking water (2/3), and then boil and lay out the processed tail portion of the fish (be sure to salt and pepper). Cooking cod over low heat is recommended for 23-27 minutes. After this time, the fish should be completely cooked. It must be carefully removed from the broth so that it does not fall apart. Next, the tail needs to be cooled, peeled and skin free, and then chopped into medium pieces by hand.

After the fish is ready, put the potatoes in the broth and cook it for about 12-16 minutes. After this time, add all chopped greens, shredded fish, heavy cream and sautรฉed vegetables to the pan. Next, you need to wait for the broth to boil and remove the dishes from the stove.
