What is needed to make charlotte?

So, the first thing you need is time, your cake is baked in about an hour. And to knead the dough, you will be enough 30 minutes. The size of charlotte will turn out to be about 5 people. This cake is quite high-calorie - 200 kcal in 100 grams of the product, so if you are on a diet, it’s better not to bake, because if you try, you can hardly resist the temptation. After preparation, store the product at room temperature. Charlotte is prepared with oranges in the oven or slow cooker.

Ingredients needed for cooking: 3 eggs, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, a quarter teaspoon vanillin, cinnamon (if you like), 30 grams of butter to lubricate the mold.

Now knead the dough. In a deep dish, break 3 eggs and add sugar. Beat for about 15 minutes with a mixer. You can use a whisk, but then the baking is not so magnificent. Mix flour in a separate bowl with baking powder and vanilla, then add to eggs and sugar. Mix until the lumps disappear. We proceed to the preparation of the filling. Peel oranges or tangerines from the peel and white veins that are bitter in the pie. Cut into small slices. To do this, it is better to take a very sharp knife so as not to squeeze the juice. If you are a fan of cinnamon, you can add it to the filling.

Final stage

At the same time, we heat the baking dish in the oven , melt the butter in it and grease it. Then we pour half of the dough into it, lay out the slices of our filling. The recipe is very similar. There are only a few differences.

  • First, we take not 3 eggs, but 5 pieces.
  • Secondly, to prepare the filling, we need both oranges and apples. And these are 2 different fillers, they do not need to be mixed! You can also add cinnamon to one or both to taste.
  • Thirdly, we do not divide the finished dough in half, but in 3 parts.
  • Fourth, first pour a third into the mold, then put a layer of apples, then again the dough, a layer of oranges or tangerines, and then fill it with the remaining dough. If the baking dishes are large in area, then for the first time it is better to make a double portion of the dough.
  • Fifth, we preheat the oven to 160 degrees and set it for 40 minutes, then we take it out and try, if ready, then see if it is sufficiently ruddy, if not, then set it to 200 degrees and fry. You can set the mode when heating occurs only from above. It will be enough 10 minutes. Take care not to get burnt.
