Fried shrimp at home

As you know, cooking seafood, in particular shrimp, is possible in various variations, but most often housewives prefer to cook them, not knowing what a spectacular and amazing snack fried shrimp can become. Such a dish in sauce will be appreciated by every man who will happily try out a new recipe and will be inspired by it.

Before proceeding directly to the description of the cooking process, I would like to note that tiger and king prawns are best for frying. Large varieties of shrimp are not only easier to cook, they look more impressive and "solid", so they are better suited for a festive table.

Fried shrimp in sauce

The gourmet recipe - fried shrimp in sauce, may seem quite simple (and so, in principle, it is), but it is worth paying attention to two important points that must be remembered in the preparation process:

  1. it is necessary to strictly observe the time indicated in the recipe;
  2. do not overcook shrimp and experiment with the sauce;

So, to make fried shrimp, you need the following ingredients:

  • about one kilogram of tiger or king prawns;
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic (to taste);
  • 60 gr butter;
  • a pinch of ginger, thyme and black pepper;
  • a glass of beer;
  • 400-500 gr. broth (preferably chicken);
  • 1-2 tablespoons of soy sauce;
  • half a teaspoon of honey;
  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar;
  • a pinch of clove, cinnamon and mustard.

Step by step recipe:

  1. To cook fried shrimp, you need to take a deep pan and melt the butter in it.
  2. Then pour pepper, thyme and garlic alternately.
  3. Pre-peeled shrimp should be added to the mixture.
  4. About 1-1.5 minutes, it is necessary to fry seafood on moderate heat.
  5. After this time, you need to pour beer into the pan, and then remove the shrimp into any dishes.
  6. Add the broth and other ingredients specified in the recipe to the mixture remaining in the pan.
  7. After everything is immersed in the pan, you need to take time and cook the sauce on moderate heat for 30 minutes.
  8. When the sauce is ready, you need to place shrimp in it and simmer for about 3 minutes.

At this stage, fried shrimp can be considered already cooked. You can serve them as a side dish, there and in common plates with other seafood.

Fried prawns with exotic fruits (grapefruit and avocado)

There is another simple way to cook shrimp with avocado and grapefruit. As everyone knows, grapefruit is a dietary fruit that contains many useful components that the body needs. This representative of the citrus family is very good in combination with various seafood.

So, for the preparation of the necessary ingredients, you need about 10 minutes, and a similar time for cooking.

It is necessary:

  • about 2 small grapefruits;
  • a few tablespoons of olive oil;
  • a little chopped onion;
  • some caraway seeds, garlic, black pepper and salt;
  • green onions;
  • a pound of shrimp to your taste;
  • freshly squeezed lime juice;
  • whole grain couscous;
  • chopped avocado.

First, prepare the grapefruit (cut it into pieces), while in the pan the water is brought to a boil with couscous. At this time, fry the garlic and onions in olive oil, adding a little caraway seeds. Then put the shrimp in a pan and simmer for 3-4 minutes on low heat (not forgetting to stir). When you notice that the shrimp are browned, add lime juice, pepper, salt to taste, and grapefruit to the pan.

It takes a few more minutes, and your unusual dish can be served on the table. Serve such shrimp with couscous and avocado slices spread on a plate.

You can also cook fried shrimp in batter (dough consisting of flour, eggs and sometimes starch) or shrimp with other vegetables and fruits. The principle of preparation is almost the same, only the ingredients change.
