Restaurant "Marani" - a combination of Georgian wines and delicious dishes

Many Muscovites liked the restaurant “Marani” that opened at the end of 2014 in the elite village. Today it is considered one of the prestigious institutions. The guests of this restaurant immediately became the pretentious and sophisticated metropolitan residents. "Marani" from Georgian literally translates as "wine cellar." Today there are already two such institutions. The second restaurant "Marani" was opened in the center of Moscow on Kutuzovsky Prospekt.

Restaurant Marani

general information

It serves the most exquisite wines, without which not a single feast in Georgia can do. They combine well not only with national dishes, but also with the cuisine of many countries of the world. The restaurant "Marani" is not only Georgian, but also international food. The menu includes both satsivi, khachapuri or phali, and ravioli and even sushi. Judging by the reviews, visitors come here with a variety of gastronomic tastes. The task of the organizers of the project was initially to create an amazing atmosphere of comfort, warmth and true southern hospitality. There are no pompous interiors, and the layout is not very original. Nevertheless, the restaurant “Marani” from the very first day was loved by Muscovites. And first of all, they liked the home atmosphere reigning in it.

Restaurant "Marani": menu

Not only Georgian dishes, but also international ones were in demand here.

As for wines, most of the guests of the MARANI restaurant have long been waiting for their return to the domestic market. Therefore, the owners were confident that their project would return to the former glory of Khvanchkara, Tvishi, Kindzmarauli and other wonderful brands that Georgia has deservedly been famous for centuries.

Arbi Shokri - the chef of this restaurant, I am sure that the versatile orientation of the MARANI cuisine gives him the opportunity for interesting experiments. As a result, he periodically updates the menu, and guests can appreciate the taste of the wonderful wines of sunny Georgia with a variety of dishes.

Restaurant Marani Menu

Chokri is a native of Morocco. As a student of the famous Joel Robichon, the chef of “Marani” before that worked in the largest hotel complexes in Dubai and Casablanca. This Moroccan has been living in the capital for almost ten years, and therefore is already well acquainted with the needs and tastes of the metropolitan public. Guests visiting Marani, a restaurant on Kutuzovsky 21, speak very highly of a salad of lamb tongues with wild mushrooms, lobio, dolma with grape leaves, and grilled octopus with vegetables.

The wine list prepared by the chef is very carefully selected not only from Georgian wines, which occupy an honorable place in it. Here you can taste Italian, Spanish and French alcoholic drinks.

Interior

The international focus of this project is expressed in the design. The restaurant "Marani" is the fruit of the collaboration of the architect Mary Zhukova, who is in demand today, who worked in tandem with the designer Irina Stepanova. On their account there are many famous projects, such as Luciano, Hills, VinoGrad, Imereti, the summer terrace of the Oblaka restaurant, Beef Bar Junior and others. Zhukova designed the Marani restaurant as a two-story Georgian house, and Stepanova designed it in a modern design with slight accents of national color. A surprisingly precisely verified combination of old and new in the halls of the institution is especially noticeable on the ground floor. Here, the chandeliers brought from the last exhibition in Paris by the Maison Object look very harmoniously, which look great together with those original artifacts that were purchased at the famous Tbilisi bazaar near the Dry Bridge.

Reviews

Many Muscovites consider the restaurant “Marani” to be the best summer terrace on Kutuzovsky Prospekt. It serves not only delicious kebabs, but also amazing tomato soup and, of course, lemonade. Some believe that it has somewhat high prices. But they correspond to the quality of the dishes and the size of the servings. Many liked the warm chicken liver salad, which has its own flavor, satsivi, phali and, of course, white wine.
