The range of antibiotics in our time is strikingly wide, so a careful selection of the drug largely determines the success of treatment. Now quite popular means "Augmentin". It is used for many infections, and very successfully.
"Augmentin" tablets - instructions for use (read it carefully to avoid unwanted effects). You can find a more complete version directly in the package.
Augmentin tablets have antibiotic properties and inhibit beta-lactamases. The drug is able to have a bactericidal effect on many microorganisms. These are Streptococcus agalactiae, Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus viridans, Clostridium spp, Peptostreptococcus spp, Brucella spp, Bordetella pertussis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Vibrio cholerae, Leptospira icterohaeemorhag.
Augmentin tablets include 2 components - this is clavulanic acid and amoxicillin. They are both soluble in water, rapidly absorbed. This process is faster if you take the drug at the beginning of the meal. Better before breakfast or dinner.
Therapeutic concentrations of both components are detected in the skin, gall bladder, bile, pus. Cumulation does not occur. If you take Augmentin tablets, remember that amoxicillin passes into breast milk. But there was no negative effect when using the drug by lactating women.
It is excreted through the kidneys.

Special instructions (important!)
Before starting treatment, it is advisable to test for compatibility. This will help avoid potential complications. You can not prescribe a drug if there is a suspicion of an infectious mononucleosis (a measles-like rash may appear). It is necessary to control (required!) The function of the liver and kidneys. If there are problems with the urinary system, the dose should be adjusted. The product contains aspartame, so if the patient has phenylketonuria, you should be especially careful.
Undesirable use during pregnancy. The drug does not affect lactation.
Contraindicated in children under 12 years.
Interaction with other medicines
It is not recommended to combine the drug "Augmentin" and a tool such as "Probenecid" - the latter reduces the secretion of amoxicillin by the tubules. Concomitant use with allopurinol can cause skin-allergic reactions (itching, erythema, rash, etc.)
Overdosing can lead to nausea and vomiting, as well as disturbances in electrolyte balance. In this case, symptomatic treatment is prescribed .
Application
1 tablet 2 times a day, with severe illness - 3 times a day.
The doctor may prescribe a different dosage depending on concomitant diseases.
