Theater for children and youth (Kemerovo) is still young. He was born a little over 20 years ago. His repertoire includes tales, classical works and plays of modern playwrights.
About the theater
In the city of Kemerovo, the Theater of Children and Youth appeared in 1991. It was a difficult period. It took a lot of enthusiasm and fanaticism to create a troupe at such a difficult time. The founders of the theater were Tatyana and Sergey Vnukovs. The opening of the Youth Theater in the city was their old dream.
First, a studio was organized for children at the actor’s house. Young talents who dreamed of becoming artists were the foundation of the troupe created by the Vnukovs. In the studio they were taught the stage movement, speech, dance, vocals. In addition, they played roles in performances.
After a year of operation, the theater for children and youth (Kemerovo) received its first premises. It was located in a residential building on Vesennyaya Street, on the ground floor.
At first, young artists played only performances for children. But over time, the repertoire included such productions as “Family Portrait with an Outsider,” “Squaring the Circle,” “Twelfth Night,” and others.
The theater began to tour, take part in various festivals.
At the beginning of the two thousandth troupe received its own building, which is located today. It is located on Arched Street. Before the troupe moved into a new building, it was reconstructed. Modern equipment was installed.
In the summer of 2008, the theater itself became the organizer of its festival. The name was given to him "Siberian Cat". It was held among school children.
Today the director of the theater is Grigory Lvovich Zabavin. He is also one of the leading actors in the troupe. The post of the main director is Irina Nikolaevna Latynnikova. The troupe employs young actors - graduates of creative universities and schools.
