Low heart pressure: what to do?

If in the morning you wake up without getting enough sleep, headaches often torment you, you feel dizzy, especially because of a sharp transition from horizontal to vertical position of your body, your earth is leaving your feet in a stuffy room, then most likely you low heart pressure. What to do? First, purchase a pressure measuring device to “keep abreast of the pulse” in the literal and figurative sense of the word. After all, further treatment will depend on what pressure you have. There are a lot of such devices in pharmacies, they are easy to use and even a layman can handle them on their own.

If, by measuring the pressure, you will see the following indicators: systolic pressure - 90-100 mm Hg, and heart pressure - 50-60 mm, this means that you have low blood pressure. Now you need to find out the cause of this low pressure. It happens that in healthy people there are periods of low blood pressure. This happens during the period of taking certain medications that have such side effects as a temporary decrease in pressure or because of being in constant noise, in a high electromagnetic background, and simply physical fatigue. But if the above symptoms are constantly observed, then we are talking about pathological hypotension, which is a chronic disease.

We know everything about hypertension - hypertension, or almost everything, but low heart pressure - hypotension - is still poorly understood. In hypotensive patients, venous vessels have a reduced tone, while blood circulation slows down and, as a result, the tone of the whole organism drops. Something akin to sleeping sickness is happening. Usually this condition of a person is taken lightly. A cup of strong coffee or 50 grams of cognac - such medicines for hypotension are offered by a person who suffers from hypotension. But if you have chronic low heart pressure, what to do should be prompted by your doctor, because hypotension is sometimes just a symptom of some kind of hidden ailment. It can be endocrine disruptions (diabetes, for example), hormonal, infectious diseases, circulatory problems, and maybe such a formidable phenomenon as heart failure. The sooner such a disease is detected, the better for you.

But there are such periods of life, for example, in adolescents and especially young girls, when low heart pressure is often observed. What to do in such cases? Nothing special. This is where the traditional cup of strong coffee or 50 grams of cognac helps. You also need to be more often for walks in the forest, in the field, on the lake, walk a lot, do physical exercises. With age, the pressure tends to increase, and the youthful problem will go away by itself. In slender women, low pressure can persist for a long time.

During pregnancy, every third woman experiences periods of low heart pressure. Then not only dizzy, but also there are pains in the joints, a strong heartbeat, insomnia. In this case, you can’t let things go by themselves - after all, a drop from dizziness can cause great harm to the fetus. In addition, hypotension can be in such cases a symptom of placental insufficiency, which can lead to premature termination of pregnancy, premature discharge of amniotic fluid and uterine bleeding. If a pregnant woman has low heart pressure, an obstetrician-gynecologist should tell you what to do.

If you often have low blood pressure, simple but regular gymnastics will help. The starting position of all exercises is lying on your back. Raise and lower the extended legs, keeping them in the raised position for a while. Imitate the “bike” and “scissors” with legs and arms. Gently raise your hands up, and then sharply “drop” them. Pull your knees to your stomach, clasp your hands around them, and then try to open your clasped hands with your knees. This simple exercise, especially during a break of sedentary work, will increase your performance and give a charge of vivacity.
